IF the 'world were to fall apart' next week/month, it wouldn't be a good thing, even with 'contigency plans' ,, IMHO we all need to change our basic attitudes to "what's important" and what's worth living for and TELL our 'representatives' that we don't want war and we want the US Govt to slash 'defense' spending' and use that money for education and healthcare to begin with!
