Stranger Things/Montauk
88 2017-11-21 by billyrood
We live in a world where people love a show (stranger things) about dimensions, negative entities that can take over your body, psychic powers, dimensional portals, people who can channel, government mind control aka MKUltra, underground bases, shadow government, satanic elite who kidnaps children (Demogorgon) the ugliness of mankind and power by using the innocence of children...& how love can save them.
BUT when we talk about those same subjects in REAL LIFE...in our government and celebrity culture, the majority is in denial and does not want to see it happening in our reality. But it is and has for hundreds of years. Hence what is happening now and the consequences of us doing nothing.
Btw did you know that the show was originally called Montauk. Look up Montauk project if you don’t know about it...

Sell it to us. What makes it so good?
1 IndigoMD 2017-11-21
Uhh it's like dreamcatcher but kids and mk ultra?
1 emaged 2017-11-21
Not gonna lie, that made me laugh, for what it's worth.
1 IndigoMD 2017-11-21
Well I mean that's what it reminds me of tbh. I was just banking on you having seen dreamcatcher
1 emaged 2017-11-21

I watched it very much into the whole genre / plot and characters. I think parts of it are very weak, other parts are very good. The whole "stranger things best tv show ever" thing is pretty blind. The last episode of the first season was pure shit. Everything about it was rushed and predictable. I also hate that the writers were only willing to kill the absolutely most disposable character early into the show, then eventually everyone else is back. They also continued the plot into the next season, which I haven't watched, because the pure shock / revealing of the first season seemed to be the most important part, other than that you simply have a bunch of kids running around a city on their bikes. I can't imagine the second season gives you too many "omg wtf" moments since they seemed totally blown on the first season. And nothing about it was so crazy. It was like a very long episode of the X-files in which everyone's eventually forgiven and no one really has to suffer. X-files would have killed more people off and never looked back. Maybe the second season is good, but IDK haven't had time or desire to watch it.
1 IndigoMD 2017-11-21
Idk man I kinda disagree on everything besides the long x file episode but that's about it.
Best tv show meh, but that's just hipster rheotric.
Yea man Idk. Some weird reasons you got there.
Season 2 is funny I'm sure you'll like it.
1 justice_reigns 2017-11-21
I usually don't say things like this, but the 2nd season of Stranger Things surpassed the first. But then again, I look at shows in a completely different way and look for symbols and esoteric meanings....which season 2 is packed to the brim of them so much so that I want to go back and rewatch season 1 to see what I missed.
1 emaged 2017-11-21
Ya me neither. I hate that after two seasons I still have no idea about what this shadow world exactly is. I think the narrative is very confusing and the plot really lacks depth. Good acting tho, and you gotta love Wynona, absolute goat.
1 dermpro 2017-11-21
i think mr robot is about 17X more interesting
1 emaged 2017-11-21
Conceptually, I agree, but I really don't like the acting and the predictability.
1 IndigoMD 2017-11-21
Ngl sounds like you didn't even watch it. The shadow world is explained like every episode after the first 3/4mm
Idgi
1 emaged 2017-11-21
Then what is it? Because I simply do not understand
1 IndigoMD 2017-11-21
The upside down?
Parallel universe maybe but considering it was kinda like a silent hill type universe Idk. Tbh it could just be another dimension.
Tbh leaning towards another dimension because a universe would entail difference results.
1 emaged 2017-11-21
See the thing is, the series could have made an effort to explain this, but it's risky to do this, so they just decided to make it all about some bunch of cute kiddos who don't really change throughout the entire series.
1 IndigoMD 2017-11-21
But they did though? I also don't think it's that important at this point and time in the show. Idk man all of them changed especially if your looking at both seasons.
Considering the show is centered around children I would only imagine the show was go about it as if kids.
Upside down is like kiddie alternate dimension?
Idk i think you're being to serious?
Side note the only people who know what it is was the government so you know how that goes.
1 billyrood 2017-11-21
It’s like opening another dimension but lower where there are negative entities that feed off of fear and flesh. They can also attach to hosts and effect their personality.
1 Terex80 2017-11-21
They do explain the basics of it. Yes they never explain how 11 found the demagorgon/how she made contact, they don't explain the shadow monster fully but why's that a bad thing?
The point is not even the scientists studying it can work it out and the kids only can understand it by using dungeons and dragons enemies/ideas
1 emaged 2017-11-21
I know, that's what I was trying to say. To me it was a missed chance not to explain anything, but then again I'm an avid detectives fan so that might explain my need for an explanation.
1 Terex80 2017-11-21
The thing is the show really isnt about the upside down etc. Its about the characters
1 emaged 2017-11-21
But do you think the charachter progress or scriptwriting is anything sensational or groundbreaking. Because apart from the music, which I think is pretty damn good, I don't see anything groundbreaking or exceptional.
1 chaoticmessiah 2017-11-21
I hate when things explain everything, personally. Makes me feel like the people writing the show/film are condescending and treating me like an idiot, so I tune out. It's why I hate films that explre the back story fo horror villains to try to explain why they are the way they are, rather than leaving well alone and allowing the mystery to remain.
1 skorponok 2017-11-21
I concur. It is unwatchable terrible garbage
1 dermpro 2017-11-21
atleast In not the only one lol i think there alot of better shows
1 sirio2012 2017-11-21
Can you recommend any homme?
1 dermpro 2017-11-21
what do you like? comedy? sci fi?
1 sirio2012 2017-11-21
Sci-fi but not fantasy/adventure type stlye bud
1 dermpro 2017-11-21
westworld is Ok, i could prob recommend more sci fi movies than shows. If your a fan of the matrix you might want to check out the animatrix, i saw a movie called snowpeircer which was pretty dope, theres a movie called Moon thats pretty good, ill think of more later
1 thirstymayor 2017-11-21
i like the mindy project haha
1 treeslooklikelamb 2017-11-21
The OA
1 Straightfromthe 2017-11-21
It's disclosure. Be patient. The public has to be eased into it.
1 fuckyou9292 2017-11-21
It has to be watered down first
1 Osziris 2017-11-21
And deception added to it
1 versusgorilla 2017-11-21
Someone's been watching.
1 RedPillFiend 2017-11-21
That's why they make such things into "fictional" books and movies. So people associate it with something that is just made up.
1 partyghost 2017-11-21
So much this. First thing that popped into my head when I saw previews for that geoengineering movie.
1 TXROADWARRIOR 2017-11-21
geostorm? yea i saw that. it's absurd how they made a movie based on project indigo skyfold but it's supposed to be fiction. even though it's set in 2019... hmmm
1 chaoticmessiah 2017-11-21
I can't wait to see if my next book gets dissected on conspiracy boards as "The alphabet agencies trying to prepare us for what's coming using fiction" when it all popped into my head randomly and I thought it was something cool to write about.
1 LurrOP8 2017-11-21
If it does, you could always bring it up as a counter argument. Until then I really couldn't care less about your predictions regarding imaginary books.
1 httr_barbarian 2017-11-21
great show, stranger things!
1 vidarheheh 2017-11-21
Is that what stranger things is about? Sounds like I need to see it!
1 Freesp33chisdead 2017-11-21
I was going to say the same thing. I thought it was a kids show.
1 jpGrind 2017-11-21
it is. it's p much harry potter with a spooky halloween skin.
1 exkreations 2017-11-21
The kids are more of a comic relief to the overall darker tone, and they are pretty fantastic young actors in my opinion. The show has some pretty decently gory scenes along with a fair amount of explicives for what I would consider a kids show to be fair.
1 me_and_U2 2017-11-21
Totally agree. Those kids are very good actors. It seems like they have a genuine connection to the material.
1 LetsSmashStacks 2017-11-21
Tbh I think older people like it just as much if not more, plus it'd scare the shit out of me if I was a kid... But then again the X-Files intro used to creep me out pretty bad.
1 LEDponix 2017-11-21
Tried watching xfiles recently? It's still scary. The new season is a massive red pill IED btw
1 LetsSmashStacks 2017-11-21
Yeah I'm excited for the new one coming out soonish too. I don't think the last seasons were amazing but also don't think they deserve all the hate they get.
1 me_and_U2 2017-11-21
Definitely not a kids show!
1 vidarheheh 2017-11-21
Tried two episodes last night, got pretty interesting but way to scary for me when Im laying in my bed alone. Its a daytime series if Youre a pussy like me:-p
1 whatmaidoinghere 2017-11-21
The show is fantastic and pulls no punches with regard to many MKULTRA programs.
Aside from the location (changed to Anytown, USA) it is a very good primer for the masses.
1 platinum_peter 2017-11-21
It's great.
1 LEDponix 2017-11-21
Jeez, there's still people in this sub that haven't watched Stranger Things??? ST is awesome and wades heavily in CT concepts, plus it's very Spielbergian but without the sex abuse. Win/win
1 sometimesineedhelp 2017-11-21
Only watch season 1, season 2 was the biggest disappointment....
1 justice_reigns 2017-11-21
That's why they put truth in sci fi and fantasy movies/tv shows. So when it gets discussed in real life, it can be written off as sci fi mumbo jumbo.
1 ShallowendPirate 2017-11-21
Bingo, the same reason anyone discussed MKUltra, they were accused of taking "The Manchurian Candidate" a little too seriously. It's a way to hide in plain sight.
1 Apollocalypse 2017-11-21
Denausable pliability.
1 LSPACEY 2017-11-21
I only recently heard about stranger things having some MKULTRA ideo behind it. And i finished it a couple of days ago. I been scratching my head how this is a netflix hit series. Known about mkultra for years. WILD times. And i said the same 15 years ago.
1 Bike1894 2017-11-21
They even mention MKULTRA in the show. I think it was 2nd season
1 chaoticmessiah 2017-11-21
It's because it's a science fiction show that's the current popular fad.
1 GoldenTruth 2017-11-21
I love both.
1 billyrood 2017-11-21
Totally agree. It’s just finally time to bridge the gap from entertainment to reality.
1 GoldenTruth 2017-11-21
Agreed. I know how you feel. Most people you try to talk about it actually being based off of VERY real events/government programs start to roll their eyes as soon as it is no longer entertaining mind-numbing fiction.
1 TheWiredWorld 2017-11-21
Now you know the power and psychological weaponry that is entertainment.
1 billyrood 2017-11-21
It’s people who deny the validity of what is in entertainment.
1 MACKSBEE 2017-11-21
Interesting, I remember in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Montauk was an important location in the story
1 me_and_U2 2017-11-21
Yeah for sure, and it involved mind control/erasure. Such an awesome movie, my favorite of all time actually. It effected me so deeply for some reason.
1 AlvinItchyCock 2017-11-21
Gotta love Jim Carey
1 PM_ME_UR_JUICEBOXES 2017-11-21
The evening news is fiction and the truth is hidden in entertainment. It is designed to disorient us.
1 textualintercourse 2017-11-21
After reading about Gateway and Hemi-sync, as I was watching this show I was losing my mind. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Then in Season 2 where the investigative journalist was giving the "watered down" analogy to get the public to accept what they were saying, the irony was ridiculous.
1 chaoticmessiah 2017-11-21
Thing is, the only things we know about projects like that are from the interviews and books of those who claimed to have been there, and it all just sounds completely insane and with no evidence of any of it happening.
I'd like to believe it was a real thing but it all just sounds too fantastical to take seriously. That's why the show is so beloved, because it's a science fiction show (emphasis on "fiction") and too unbelievable to have really happened.
1 billyrood 2017-11-21
Project Montauk is real. There’s a man by Duncan Cameron who I met that was apart of it. He has been de materialized and studied hundreds of times. He’s seen different entities and gone beyond the physical. He has a workshop in Dec that I’m trying to go to. https://www.fifty8magazine.com/donate/
1 datwayAlgerian 2017-11-21
I've been saying this for the longest time. Same with sense 8.
1 War-and-Fleece 2017-11-21
Great post. Agreed. Looked into this after the original season sparked too many questions, and then found Montauk. WHOAH. Dangle much? The media is how they seek to control and normalize
1 mula_talks 2017-11-21
Good breakdown of all of that in this video https://youtu.be/2F4LA73MKNM
1 ah_pook_ah 2017-11-21

1 ocherthulu 2017-11-21

1 Terex80 2017-11-21
The thing is the show really isnt about the upside down etc. Its about the characters
