Am I missing something?

According to NASA we are unable to leave low earth orbit, but apparently we visited the moon in the late 60's and early 70's but have never returned! How did that happen? Don Pettit (an astronaut) said in a video on YouTube that we used to have the tech to go to the moon but we destroyed it! And we can no longer go! How could anyone have let this tech be destroyed? In an eclipse the moon perfectly fits the sun (that's a bit odd)! We only ever see one side of the Moon, as it rotates perfectly so we only ever see one side (weird). And when someone tries to send a rocket into space it seems to stop at 73 miles and can go no further and seems to hit liquid! And why as soon as anyone claims the earth to be flat they are called crazy! Can someone explain to me what the hell is going on?

What?
You don't seem to know what you're talking about in the least.

Its strange how flat earth threads get over a hundred comments.

Sup.
:)

No. This has been taken out of context. They were talking specifically about Orion.
Because the Apollo missions did not spend long enough in the Van Allen belt to cause problems.
He said technology, he meant infrastructure. NASA have a limited budget /space / resources. If the infrastructure wasn't removed then we would not have had the space shuttle, the ISS, the Mars rivers etc.
Because it is crazy. You don't need NASA to be able to prove it's not flat. You only need to go outside and actually observe your environment.

I mean that’s not really true, there are arguments as why things look like they do that involve us being on a flat earth. That’s why the theories exist
1 Globie2017 2017-11-29
Yes, but those arguments are ridiculous and don't actually make any sense.
1 Wun_Two 2017-11-29
Not relative to your understanding
1 Globie2017 2017-11-29
No. They just simply do not make sense and can all be proven wrong with ease.
Stop pretending that there is any merit whatsoever to this flat earth garbage.

Give me one thing that I cannot offer a counter point to
1 Globie2017 2017-11-29
We have 2 observable celestial poles.
Boats can be observed crossing the horizon.
Peecisely measuring the angles between 3 points over a large body of water will total more than 180 degrees.
There's 3 for you.

Observable from ‘space’ ? Most people who believe in flat earth believe that all those photos are doctored. Why are there many accounts of very hostile military encounters getting anywhere near the ‘center’ of Antarctica ?
Why does the suns reflection on water not match a curved landscape? The earth doesn’t have to be truly flat for me to consider the theory valid, just a plane, why doesn’t the water even itself out anyways? Water doesn’t bulge out in the center within any container, it lays flat
Do that, go gather the information for yourself and tell me what you find and how you found it. GPS seems to me the only way and like I said, if there is some global conspiracy to cover it up the reference points gps uses would be doctored.

Got a source on that? What happened when you filled out a permit to go there? A dude died there like 2 years ago recreating a famous exploration...
They do...
... What? How much have you look into this?
Heres a few examples.

Those images are not possible on a FE. There is no way around that.
How does one get GPS in the middle of the ocean?
1 Wun_Two 2017-11-29
GPS in the middle of an ocean - From ‘satellites’
I didn’t / don’t look into this stuff, I’m just saying things are not how they seem and there are things I don’t think we realize about the world we live in. I don’t subscribe to one definite idea of our world. I’m open to many interpretations and I think you should be too. To completely write off an Idea is detrimental to the human spirit and our ability to progress as individuals. Real cool video of that boat going over the horizon though !
1 WadeWilsonforPope 2017-11-29
You really should, especially if you are going online (Or in the real world) spreading these ideas.
Im very open minded but Im no fool. Ill entertain any idea until its disproven or another theory is proven.
Our world is very much a globe.
1 Globie2017 2017-11-29
No. All of the things I listed are observable on Earth. And each one proves curvature or a globe earth on its own merit.
The rest of your post is just you asking questions about things you don't understand, not providing a counter argument.

Can you quote a few, please?
1 Wun_Two 2017-11-29
No, Ive just read secondary sources and thats what my mind tells me. Like i said I humor maybe more than I should

Just a reminder

It's good you're asking questions.
Be inquisitive, and do your research.
1 Irishconspiracy 2017-11-29
A lot more research. Do not take even conspiracies at face value

We just landed a rocket vertically and have rovers on mars. I’m sure the moon is possible.
1 OneEyedCoral 2017-11-29
Because they are crazy? I believe in a lot of crazy shit (aliens and UFOs being my favorite subject), but how can anyone believe (in 2017!) that the Earth is flat?
1 partyghost 2017-11-29
Crazy is such a terrible label to give people. Let's try misinformed maybe? Both of us being conspiracy theorists know what it's like to be labeled as "crazy". It's dismissive and sucks.
1 Globie2017 2017-11-29
Yes, but those arguments are ridiculous and don't actually make any sense.
