Have seen similar things like this post before to which some reply:
"We have done it, so it is ok when others do it to us. Ignore it!"
But that is a defensive reply IMHO (strange that it comes from those "America First" types).
Republicans called Obama naive on Russia and that Romney would save us from them (as they painted them as dangerous back then...). But now? They have changed their tune.
Before it was "Obama plays too much golf and takes too many vacations!" and now? Those people don't care what Trump does.
The problem is people are in love with an old man and not with principles or morals they pretended to have for 8 years. Russia (and others) know this about the right and has played them well (they remember how the right loved bush, patriotism, war before but then changed their tune later).
We are at this point because the moral majority/etc really don't believe what they say, don't follow their principles, and are ready and willing to believe anyone, anywhere, who tells them what they want to hear (the truth is not important).
Depends on what your definition of “interefered” is. Twitter confirmed that thousands of Russian accounts pushed hard against Hillary online Source. That alone is “interfering.”
If you want to go further, Facebook has confirmed that Russians purchased ad space pushing for Trump and Bernie (against Hillary). Source. This is also “interfering.”
Would you agree those two instances would constitute Russia interfering in our elections?
You agree that Russia has interfered in our elections? I agree that sending Mexicans to the US to illegally vote is interfering in our democracy, but it doesn’t excuse Russia at all.
Since we both agree that Russia attempted to interfere with our democracy, do you believe it is worth investigating to determine whether it was to a meaningful degree?
So, you believe there should be an investigation (as long as it’s neutral and stays non-political). You believe that if foreigners are found to be responsible for wrong-doing, the US should quietly punish them some way (perhaps sanctions?). You believe that if a US Citizen is found to be responsible for wrong-doing, they should be prosecuted (via the correct way). Do I understand correct?
I don’t want the political charade. I want fact-finding, just like you. If they stopped the political side show and did everything behind the curtains I’d prefer it.
The red scare was a national crisis where the government actively silenced any talk of communism, even going so far as to hamper free speech and go to war to prevent it in other freaking nations.
This is more a fear of Russia, an international superpower that has been on unfriendly terms with the US since before World War 2.

Bullshit.

KGB and Yuri Besmenov

It seems that, yes, it was a prolonged thing. Bezmenov explained how the KGB gradually subverted US politics in 1984.
Thank you, my friend. I did not know about him.
Also: shit. We already knew this was happening over twenty years ago, and have done nothing.

The US was too busy raping other countries' natural resources and toppling other people's governments, to care.

You’re welcome and I had the same reaction. This guy literally told us what was going on and people in the crowd were laughing. It baffles me

Shit, even the intelligence agencies don't claim it as fact.
1 hey_jose 2017-11-30
I didn’t know that it was a fact that the Russians interfered with the 2016 election.
Can you show a source for this fact?

They don't pay you enough for this, do they?

Mexico sending tveir citizens here for decades is interfering. This is nothing but deep state fodder.

Not to a meaningful degree

1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
I don't agree with that
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
You wrote that you agreed that Russia interfered in our elections, but not to a meaningful degree. Unless I am missing something.
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
I don't think they interfered in our election.
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
I posted two instances of interference. Do you deny both happened? If so, what evidence do you have to support your denial?
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
I think nothing happened to the degree we're told it did. This is Saddam's WMDs v 2.0
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
Do you believe it is worth investigating to confirm?
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
I think neutral non-politically motivated intel communities should act on suspicion of all foreign interference.
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
So yes.
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
No not like you're framing it
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
You just said it’s worth investigating.
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
Our neutral professional non-political agencies should process all these things.
Russia is being used to try and destroy our President. Public investigation of a private intel matter is bad.
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
So, if I understand you correctly, you believe it should be investigated by a neutral party?
Maybe have the Democrats ask the Republicans to appoint someone they can mutually agree on? That way they know it’s neutral. Fair?
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
No again you're framing it like a political issue
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
Elections are inevitably always a political issue.
So, you believe this should be investigated, but by a non-political neutral person. Correct?
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
It should be handled on the level many other things already are. It shouldn't be used to ruin Trump or go to war.
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
You’re saying it should be a fact-finding mission?
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
It should be a bland intel job
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
I agree. What if wrong-doing is discovered?
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
Should be handled quietly like most threats. Not political grandstanding because Trump rules Hillary drools
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
What if there is wrong-doing discovered by an American citizen? Is There a quiet way to arrest publicly elected officials?
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
There's correct ways to prosecute.
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
So, you believe there should be an investigation (as long as it’s neutral and stays non-political). 1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
Through normal non-political means that aren't thinly veiled attempts to ruin people
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
Sure, definitely. I think we’re on the same page then!
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
Except not because you want the political charade which is based on lies about Russia and Trump.
1 Reign_Wilson 2017-11-30
I don’t want the political charade. I want fact-finding, just like you. If they stopped the political side show and did everything behind the curtains I’d prefer it.
1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
Oh ok I agree. I don't actually want political interference from anyone outside.

1 thisisATHENS 2017-11-30
No we don't.
Lol no one talks like this here
