This is something that was all of a sudden pushed as a means to discredit the truth movement/conspiracy culture.
They're trying to make us look really anti jewish/racist. Hop over to r/TopMindsOfReddit, you'll see them use that all the time in their mocking headlines and posts about us.
You gotta add the / before the r/ to be able to summon someone... but I was just sitting here hoping you'd post some examples cause I haven't seen any with triples that I can think of.
There's been quite a few releases this year, most recent was like 3 days ago. This link has the schedule... but if saw any triple brackets in that kind of context I know I would remember it. Theres a lot of single brackets, but those are just markups on the originals showing what needed to be redacted.
That's not formatted like a FBI document, I'd have to guess it is something NSA intercepted... probably a teletype... just cause it uses Top Secret DINAR and everything is in caps. I'm not sure what the triple brackets would mean in this context, but my guess would be that it is some kind of telegram shorthand to indicate a bolded word.
I'm not getting what you are saying. The top comment in this thread is saying ((())) is from 1999. Are you saying it was "racist" in the historic context as per this government document?
No... I'm saying swastika's used to be used for non-racist things way before the Nazis ruined it... just like the triple parenthesis used to be used for non-racist things before the Nazis ruined it.
We have historic documents using (((they))). Suddenly, in one year, the use of (((echo))) is anti-Semitic? That seems like an entirely different phenomenon than the swastika.
My guess is that it was co-opted on purpose. (((They))) don't want us calling them (((they))) so they've used shills on the internet to conflate the usage of (((echo))) with (((racism))).
Hopefully the TMOR guys will dig up some documentation as to what triple parenthesis meant back in the ol' teletype days. My gut tells me it was just a shorthand way to bold a particular passage, but I have no data to back up that assumption.
I'm just wondering if you missed the notification for this comment. I'm very curious to see the liberal use of triple parentheses in the FBI documents.
It’s only “racist” because we’re trained to believe that noting that somebody is Jewish is a form of persecution. Other nationalities would be proud to be recognized in their accomplishments. Why these guys gotta obscure their identities and change their names? What they got to hide?
However you feel about Jews and racism, I'm really trying to understand how (((echo))) became "anti-Semitic. I'm nearly 50 years old. The (((echo))) always meant "the folks I don't feel safe saying right now but you get what I'm saying, right?"- like spooks, trilateral, galactics, etc.
I think that the FBI JFK files have shown that that has been the proper use of (((echo))).
Because who are THEY, ultimately? Who’s conspiring to Judaize society if not Jews? You can only go so far using esoteric descriptors before you start naming the men behind the curtain. But if the puppet master, the pervert or the propagandist is a Jew, then you’ve committed a sin in outing them. Even if you’re Jew.
When did the use of the echoes get added to the “it’s racist” defence kit of the ADL? When Jewish Google removed a Chrome extension called the Coincidence Detector.
This new meme could have been created to cause an automatic negative response when seeing words framed like that. Maybe there is/are some good information/leads in (((echos))) from the past.
The first I saw it was in 2016, and it was indeed used to create a negative response from what I gathered. Primarily to refer to Jews is what I was told when I finally asked someone.
But I have seen it in the JFK files, so maybe they were using them as to imply something secretive or unspeakable?

Thank you, and I've noticed it more and more in mockery of conspiracy theory.
1 Balthanos 2017-12-18
Yo, could you add some content to the post? Maybe a few links to those JFK files?
1 RecoveringGrace 2017-12-18
Maybe r/ninjakick666 can help us with links to the documents that use (((echo)))?

Since when do you have to put both "/" to ping? Is that new?
I was really relying on you to know the JFK files by heart.
I'll be right back. Going back to check when I first noted this.
Btw, what date was the release of the JFK files? That will help me- I'm on my phone.

Regardless, it obviously shows that (((echo))) predates the current use of implied racism.
1 Ninjakick666 2017-12-18
Yeah... just like the swastika.

And I'm wondering who "ruined" it.

A lot of shit happened between 1960's teletype machines and modern day 4chan. I don't think there is any link between the two.
1 RecoveringGrace 2017-12-18

What are your thoughts on that?
1 Ninjakick666 2017-12-18
I dunno... they also co-opted Mac Tonight from the McDonalds commercials in the 80s... I think it's all done for the lulz.
1 RecoveringGrace 2017-12-18
I think there are larger implications in this co-opt than something trivial about McDonald's.
Btw, your buddies at TMoR have X-posted this.

1 RecoveringGrace 2017-12-18
It has always meant (((the powers I can't speak freely about))).
1 Ninjakick666 2017-12-18
Careful... DHS has stated that if you think that Jewish People control the government you are technically a White Supremacist.
1 Ilsaluna 2017-12-18
You’d have been fine with one / in your ping. It didn’t work because you used r instead of u. Easy mistake. Just letting you know why it fizzled.
1 RecoveringGrace 2017-12-18
Yeah, like I didn't know that. Weird how he was here without being properly pinged, though. Cute games.

Just add SOMETHING in the description box up top. Elaborate on your premise.
1 RecoveringGrace 2017-12-18
It's cool. I'll remove.
1 RecoveringGrace 2017-12-18
I thought it was fairly self explanatory, actually.
1 PerdidasBH 2017-12-18
I'm pretty sure all the antisemitic theories posted here don't need any help with "looking racist".
1 rebeccamb 2017-12-18
Because they're not posted by the real users. It's TMOR spamming them to make us look shitty.
1 Lowbrowunibrow 2017-12-18
This site claims June 2016, which seems about when I first heard of this usage of it.

But it is used liberally in the FBI JFK files.
1 PerdidasBH 2017-12-18
Where?
1 RecoveringGrace 2017-12-18
In the (((archives)))
1 PerdidasBH 2017-12-18
I posted a link to the archives, can you show me where exactly in them these parentheses are?
1 PerdidasBH 2017-12-18
I'm just wondering if you missed the notification for this comment. I'm very curious to see the liberal use of triple parentheses in the FBI documents.
1 CaptainVerret 2017-12-18
u/RecoveringGrace did you forget to answer this user's question? I'm also curious to know where in the JFK files I can find liberal usage of ((())).
1 ATXNYCESQ 2017-12-18
Checking in to see if you can point us to where this appears in the archives. Thanks!

You're failing at the transitive property here... Just because SOME of (((they))) are Jewish does not mean that (((they))) refers to Jews...
