Just a thought

One of the reasons why "good men do nothing" is because they love their families more than they love humanity.
And can we blame them?
“What is honor compared to a woman's love? What is duty against the feel of a newborn son in your arms . . . or the memory of a brother's smile? Wind and words. Wind and words. We are only human, and the gods have fashioned us for love. That is our great glory, and our great tragedy.”

Its a real tricky situation but in a world where every “powerful man” has chosen fear, cowardice, and slavery at least one of us must truly fight for the greatest gift of all time, loving free will.
The record will write itself..

Fighting rarely equals free will. Do you want to be fighting? I don't. Give a fuck who puts their face on my dollars as long as my house is warm, my fridge is cold, and I can generally do whatever and go wherever I'm good. What more is there?

Fortunately, for some of us at least, they brought the fight into our homes. What more is there?

If we didn't already fear our neighbors, would we not have the same bond with them?
Maybe in smaller communities, your neighbor or the guy down the street was just as close to you as your brother?
I do see where you're coming from though, in the current situation we're in.

Read Bowling Alone. Our isolation from our neighbors is a new phenomenon caused by a combination of increasing diversity and the addiction to media.

Are you trying to come up with excuses for rampant apathy?
If so, there is no need to make excuses for it. It is just how humans are.
They claim to hold values and virtues, but most sit on their fat asses and don't even try to improve themselves, let alone the world around them.
Just how it is.

So incredibly true. Very easy to say what someone else should do while that person barely ever leaves a seated position.

Yep. Let's blame teh evil governmentz/illuminatiz for the problems of the world, while we drink/smoke ourselves stupid and waste money on frivolous crap.

Spend five minutes watching kids instantly play, share, cooperate, and curiously engaging each other and its stupid easy to realize that is our default human nature.
The world of adults we have today is the result of thousands of years of violent indoctrination by cowardice beings that despise our free will and so have “helped” each one of us to destroy it.
Wether right or wrong, I always kind of sickly listen with interest to the story told in War Pigs by Black Sabbath.
All the War Pig cowardice (MIC + intelligence agencies) think they are worshipping Satan while he allows them to destroy the world, and then when it backfires and they start to burn.. they crawl to him begging for salvation that he laughs at.
Who really knows how it works, but if they destroy our world, well then I do truly hope they see their own erroneous ways to the tune of laughter.

Thousands of years? What is the oldest book you have read with your own eyes?
1 tastygoods 2017-12-23
Fair point. 1890s or so.
2 Step2TheJep 2017-12-23
Same here. And yet for some reason I'm just supposed to accept on faith that the 'experts' know what was happening thousands of years ago. And everybody around me is also supposed to accept the same stories (and they do). And then I see stuff like this and I start to wonder, how much do we really know?

Maybe I’m missing something here but what does a book have to do with anything.
Written language is much older than 1890s.
That’s not even my point though. Humans have been indoctrinated to some extent by those “in charge” throughout our entire history.
The ability to herd the weak and apathetic has always been there. Ruthless leaders are as old as we are.
Granted, it’s a new brand of indoctrination these days but in no way do I think it’s a new phenomenon.

If your task was to prove human history was accurate describe how you would do it? Then correlate to how its systemically done, say here in the States.

Not talking about apathy. More about competing loyalties, one to your family and one towards your values and virtues(humanity). And while these are not always mutually exclusive, if the decision came down to having to choose one over the other, especially when there is no guarantee that the decision that puts one's family at risk(eg whistleblowing) will succeed in its efforts, it becomes extremely difficult for a man to choose to act honorably and for the greater good. As someone commented, it takes a truly great man to be able to choose this path over the other.

What path? Slacktivism? Posting complaints about teh evil elitez on internet forums?

Its true about good men doing nothing but great men do something no matter what.

We will all be tested soon.
2 Namnagort 2017-12-23
I believe that it is not that people are apathetic- they do care about what's going on. However, most people are too caught up in their own shit to have the energy or time to do something. We have bills to pay, deadlines to deliver on, and families to take care of- oh and a few hours of time to ourselves would be nice for a while too. When our basic needs are met we crave the path of least resistance. An inconvenience becomes the entirety of our consciousness and we crave rest. The week is long.
2 KarmaPolice777 2017-12-23
Agreed, and it's most likely all by design.

Men are so denigrated and disposable, it contributes to the problem.
1 waitingforatidalwave 2017-12-23
We all contribute to the problem. Guess what? We are all contributing to it now by even using Reddit. We keep ourselves busy musing about what things are or could be, conspiracies and whatnot. Instead of getting to the real scenes and just seeing with your eyes. We see with our brain. That's our problem as humans. It hinders us just as much as it helps us because we rationalize everything. Everything has to make sense. And when it doesn't, we start to fill in the holes with theories. Who are we kidding? We know nothing. You can know nothing for sure unless you see it and witness and experience it. Question everything. It is true that people have built lives in this system though, and that it is either impossible or hard to get out of it. And I get that. But there is more we can do. They only dish what we will swallow. Stop eating the dirt info you are given and they'll stop feeding it to you. It's only gotten this bad because we've made it easy.
