Hi everyone! I really fancy getting into a decent movie based on a conspiracy theory and thought who better to ask?! What's your favourite, if you have one or just point me in the right direction.. thanks in advance!

Hi, try The Conspiracy. I knew nothing about it when I watched it and really enjoyed it.

You ever hear that poem about the sailor who had to wear a dead seagull around his neck?
1 LurkMcGurck 2018-01-01
That sounds really familiar but I can't really put my finger on it. What's it called/who wrote it?

Thanks. I believe I have read it before, but don't remember much about it. I'll hafta give it another read.

If it isn't recited by the poet themselves, I prefer to read it lol but thanks for the link

It's not the actual poem lol, just a great song based on it.

Ahhh hahah that's what I get for not even clicking the link. Thanks! I'll give it a listen.

Came here to post this myself.
Also The Village (2004). Most people don't really get that one, but for those with eyes to see, it is terrific.

Well I came here to chew bubblegum and...nevermind.

Good picks.
I'd add "The Conspiracy," a recent low-budget mockumentary type thing that addresses the Mithras cult.

Except they made it seem like a ball of laughs and a popcorn movie. I guess to the TPTB, it is.

JFK is still a good one. Maybe a bit dated, but still worth a watch if you haven't seen it yet.

I thought about posting a question like this. I'm hoping to find movies that involve aliens, and then spooks that try to keep things secret.
Here's a curated list from stuff.tv that includes a lot of movies already mentioned in this post: https://www.stuff.tv/news/25-best-conspiracy-movies-ever
Also check out The Davinci Code.

That movie was a Hollywood take on the original "Bourne Identity" book(s) although it's barely recognizable as such.

Capricorn One.
Its about a hoax Mars landing, with some obvious connections to the Apollo program. OJ Simpson is also in the film.

There is literally a movie named Conspiracy Theory (Mel Gibson-julia Roberts).

Not quite a movie recommendation, but there was an old Nick Nolte movie called "Who'll Stop the Rain," that sucked. But, that shitty movie was based on a really good book called, "Dog Soldiers," by Robert Stone that I remember blew my mind. Granted I was a young college student a very long time ago when I read it so it may be really cheesy in retrospect.
