PSA: If you mainly browse comments by "hot", try flipping to "controversial" to see the other side of the argument. Try to also browse posts by controversial to see the current battlegrounds in ideas.

Shubmission statment: This will be helpful for the recent influx of new users who might only read by default settings, and is of course also a general reminder for existing /u/.

My advice- browse the whole sub by /new. It's the beating heart of r/conspiracy and ground zero in the fight against shills. I tend to sort my comments by "best" but I read the whole thread and expand downvoted comments so I still see everything eventually.

I would even say do all three

I'd notice downvoted comments less if I didn't need to expand them so I won't do the second one.

Also vote if you can in order to counter the downvote bots/shills.

I upvoted every well sourced and logical theory even if I don't believe it simply because there's so much boring political stuff about Clinton and trump i want to see more interesting conspiracy topics so I try to do my part

There is a reason the default (recommended) results option is "hot"
It is to encourage brigading and drive shit to the front pages.
Thanks to the bigots and haters on the far left and far right, Reddit is quickly becoming a shit hole.

Aww I liked how you put a submission statement in this post. Super cute.
And I agree.
