6am crazy theory time.

I've noticed a lot of taxes and levys been placed on certain products and it got me thinking.

Here in the UK we are adding a 'sugar tax' to all soft drinks (coke, pepsi, etc) in order to 'cut down on obesity' (we all know that's bullshit, because there are positive things we can do as a soceity to cut down on obesity, rather than just negative taxes.)

On its own this doesn't mean much. But now we are discussing adding a 25p tax to every cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate sold in a plastic cup. Apparently this is to cut down on waste and improve recycling. Hey! what a good idea, we can all get behind that!

So where am i going with this? Well, i think the finger pointing at OMGZ!1111 we r gun run out of oil and save da environment by recycling, both have good interests at heart; the human race. We want to keep making things, keep warm, keep our resources flowing etc...

But what if, the resource we are running out of isn't oxygen or oil or plastic or anything like that. What if, we are running out of water? Drinks companies use HUGE amounts of water to make their drinks. The sugar tax could be a stealth tax for using water. Coffee machines' main ingredient is water, yet they're having a proposal of facing a tax. Nestle just bought a whole lake in toronto, why would they buy a WHOLE LAKE if not for securing future resources?

Could it be possible that the 'mass depopulation' theory that was knocking about was because water will soon be so scarce we will have wars over it?

could it be possible that the mid east is warring because of how they want to handle the water situation? After all, the deserts will be the first to be deserted.

If you want to go really batshit crazy you could say that the trip to Antarctica isn't about ancient aliens or UFOs, but is a contingency plan of "how the fuck do we get this ice into our lakes?" but that would crazy.

TL;DR certain taxes against certain companies are actually water taxes because we are running dangerously low on water (perhaps just in the west, perhaps world wide)

Nah, you are just suffering from the retardation and madness that is Marxism/Socialism... Sucks, don't it?

SS :we are going to run out of water.

We understand the concept of running out of resources. Yet clean drinkable water has been a hurdle for some countries (africa/middle-east) so centuries. We ignored them and now i think our chickens are coming home to roost. Bawk Bawk.

Worst case scenarios for climate change apocalypses generally include massive water shortages worldwide.

We’re not anywhere near that yet, but desalination treatment technology would probably be a good idea.

I think there are bigger problems that could hit us first, but it is an issue. Who is leading the way in desalination? Oh, Israel is. Surprise surprise.

Predynastic Egypt has that answer already. But the pharaohs forgot how to use the pyramids.

Can you elaborate a bit? Sounds interesting.

Sounds being the key word here...

Solid reply.

How much money would people be willing to pay for clean water in a drought? How much would they be willing to pay if water stopped flowing through the pipes in thier homes?

Water is probably the single most under-priced resource and TPTB feel they are leaving a lot of money on the table not extracting the full market price for water.

220 Australia dollar for 16000 litres .remote prices .

That's 72 liters per dollar good for you, but once the CEO of Nestle who's been stealing California's clean water and selling it back to them for inflated prices gets wind of how fucking sweet you got it down under he's gonna take a big fat shit all through out the remaining clean water so your paying A$72 per liter and all your water must be bought from some soulless corporation.

Hope not..not yet.

It's sad that we consider vital resources something that should be taxed.

Anyway, when the world falls apart in the next 50-100 years, 2 places in the world will flourish, northern Canada and Antarctica, as the abundance of resources in these areas are the most vital, especially Northern Canada.

You forgot New Zealand but I mostly Agree with you.

Agreed. In all honesty though, Northern Canada has the most to offer in terms of resources. Although you have to fend off bears and mama moose for those resources.

Eh, those states bordering the Great Lakes would like word with ya'...

No doubt Canada is a fantastic place with all the resources the world can offer!

Look into New Zealand - Everything Canada has to offer minus the Wildlife threats like Bears, Moose, Ticks, Spiders ans Snakes.

Also one of the most vibrant sealife populations the world has to offer from Salmon to Blue Cod and Snapper, Greenlip Muscles and Abalone!

I love NZ! Im in the process of buying some rural property at the moment on the South Island!

Step 1. Look at Ocean Step 2. Google Desalination Nah we're gonna be fine.

The problem here is they're taxing the end user, not the producer.

Are sugary drinks bad? Tax the fuck out of the drink companies until they make something healthy. Are plastic cups bad? Tax the fuck out of the manufacturers who continue to flood the market with that option until they develop a better one. If you want it to change you realistically have to start at the top. People won't buy what doesn't exist.

Instead, they're taxing the end user, who often can't afford or find another option. And even if taxing people buying things in plastic cups puts a tiny dent in plastic cup usage, you've still got plastic cups being produced, sitting in storage, going to landfills.

We're literally being punished for using the bad products that capitalism produces, instead of capitalism being punished for making them.

The companies just pass the cost of the additional tax on to the consumer anyway...?

Not necessarily

luv this theory. hope its not tru

Yeah, but if you drink non-sugary drinks and just bring your own container, you don't get hit with a tax... 🤔

which is why it's a stealth tax on water

...which is why it’s not a stealth tax on water

that’s like calling fees on plastic bags at grocery stores a tax on food.

It's just a theory. We will see. Hopefully i'm wrong. Win/Win in that case tbh

We don't have a water problem fool. We have a SALT problem...

It's not 6 am in the world bro :)...just your area.

How did you guess my dick name?

Do you know that glint you see in the bushes on a night?

It's me and my binoculars watching you undress.

No i'm joking, i use a drone. It's too unsafe out with all the pedofiles.

To bad there isn't a new land we can go to and start fresh...

Living in Scotland... ain't got no worries about water here haha. Next theory.

Your making a conspiracy theory up when the conspiracy is clear - more taxes on the masses.

Maybe. Maybe it is just a tax and i hope i am wrong. I suppose we will see

Its not about water. Its about control

They are - bu subtle means - controlling who's the one who can drink "X" or "Y" under the guise of "we are taking care of your health" BS.

Again, people with the shortest straw (mid and lower classes) are punished while it will have zero effect on the elites.

Wanna reduce obesity? just stimulate people to do some physical activity. Those calories will not burn themselves.
