Is this actually a real documentary/docu-drama? I watched the first episode and thought it was based on real conspiracies but all characters and specific events were fictional?

It's a true story and the main focus is as a documentary but there are dramatizations also with some speculation.

With music etc it is really easy for get caught up in what you are watching.

For example something like the Zeitgeist movie is super convincing when you watch, but upon fact checking much of what they claim falls away.
