A source for this would essentially have to be a government admission to lying to the public from an event that happened recently and will still be classified for years and years to come. There is no way to source such a thing.
It's just common sense. Why would the world's most advanced missile detection system, that has run for decades, through the cold war and many other engagements with countries that intended to do harm to the US, suddenly have two false alarms attributed to operator error in such a short span of time?
You tell em pal. No one is going to go out of their way to tell those they conspire against about their conspiracy. The "source" they want is really nothing more than someone popular agreeing with the view. Source does not equal evidence.
For those asking for a "source", as if the Washington Post is going to report on this, even if it's true. Interesting THEORY OP. This is a theory sub, not a news sub.
We almost annihilated each other during the Cold War because someone thought a flock of birds was a missile launch. This shit happens. It shouldn't, but it does. Machines/programs are only as good as the idiots who build them, and the US isn't exactly employing from the top of the graph these days.
My flaw with that is that America is beating the war drum and something like this would be a perfect excuse to start a new war. An opportunity I don't think they would pass up.

I think this is a pretty decent collaboration to this theory.

EDIT: Now there is 4. WTF is up with comment count?

Sometimes comments show up a little later than the count shows.

We already know they have ICBM's that threaten all of the U.S. What you're describing is an act of war being covered up for... what purpose?
1 Tripredacus-Agent 2018-01-17
Actually we don't know this.

Nah

If that happened Trump wouldn’t be able to keep his mouth shut about it. He would be mocking Kim on Twitter.

if NK even got an ICBM close to the US they would still announce what they did and how in their benevolence they stopped the missile from exploding.

Sounds like something cooked in a afterthought propaganda council.
