Rise up
25 2018-01-22 by Quetzalcoatlwasright
We won’t change anything with the way we are acting, bracing for the next blow. We need to be proactive. We need take it to them
We all want to live in a better world. Let’s make it happen.
Today I was reminded of the goodness within myself and others. I’m so thankful that it’s there and can be perceived, else all would be lost.
This spark, this invisible force, permeates through all things; past, present, future, the inner and outer worlds, our consciousness, etc are all beholden to you
You can choose to dwell on past mistakes and transgressions, or you can choose to always without failing, be in the present moment. You can choose to worry about the future, or you choose to always without failing, be in the present moment.
Right now is what we have control over. Right now I want you to get up. Right now I want you to breathe deeply, stretch and pause what you’re doing. Right now I want you to change the way you think. Right now I want you to revaluate your daily life and ask, “what can I do to make the world a better place?” In every moment there is an oppurtunity to change.
You have roughly 25,000 days to live on this planet, or something like 600,000 hours, or 36,000,000 minutes, or just about 2,160,000,000 seconds.
However you want to break it down, life is short.
Take advantage of every second; eat right NOW, workout NOW, call your mom NOW, apologize NOW, commit to a skill NOW, use your skills for the greater good NOW.
We only have so much “now”

We all have a lot more power than we think.
I am only a tiny drop of water by myself.
Together with my brother and sisters, however, I am a veritable monsoon.
I am only a tiny spark by myself.
Together with my brothers and sisters, however, I can become an inferno.

My problem is, what motivation do I have NOT to do negative things m, if only the NOW matters. Let’s say that I am addicted to opiates, I stop taking them one night, and I wake up in the morning shaking, shitting, vomiting, sweating... my dealer calls and says he’s in the neighborhood and wants to know if he should stop by.
My thoughts begin racing. I want to feel better. I want to stop being so sick. I can’t think. This is pure hell. Pure torture.
I think about my past and how much damage I’ve caused. Jobs, relationships, money all gone.
M I shouldn’t use today.
I but I’m so goddamn sick. I want to die.
I contemplate the future.
The near future is pain. The far future is.. well.. far.
I can’t think. I’m so sick..
I begin thinking about the now. Now is what matters. Right now I’m sick Why suffer now, for a non determined future? If I try to get sober now and take this horrifying pain, I could get hit by a truck next week and it’s all for nothing.
The moment matters. Be happy in the moment. Don’t be sick during the only time that you really feel.
Then I use the drug.. feel good in the now. They wear off. The “new now” once again becomes defined by total unbearable sickness.
How much importance do you put on pain and pleasure in the Now as compared to the NOW-of the near future. If you ignore the now, you can accomplish great things
Why save money.
Why struggle?
Why suffer?

Lol what
1 Hillary_D_R_Clinton 2018-01-22
The problem you have is that you let the will/ideas of others define who you are and you let yourself be limited.
Life is worth living for the reason you find for it yourself.
1 praytoyourgods 2018-01-22
I don’t feel good though ever.
1 Hillary_D_R_Clinton 2018-01-22
Don't worry, it's gonna get worse.
1 Quetzalcoatlwasright 2018-01-22
Lol
1 praytoyourgods 2018-01-22
What do you mean
1 Quetzalcoatlwasright 2018-01-22
That sounds like suffering.
Being present doesn’t mean “living in the moment”
It means always being open to the universe, always being ready to change, and always being in the game with your surroundings.
I can promise you that the weeks of pain you’ll have to go through will be worth it once you free yourself from that bondage. I know from experience.
1 praytoyourgods 2018-01-22
Thanks =[
1 humanefly 2018-01-22
The way I interpret it is maybe not quite so literal. It is important to live in the now, in the moment, so that we can enjoy the little things in life, the way fresh snow crunches underfoot, the first warm breeze in spring, the cat in our lap and so on, but it is also important to take action now, while keeping in mind that we should make choices that our future selves will be thankful for.
Our future selves would be so incredibly thankful that we put down the pipe, and accepted the suffering now.
1 praytoyourgods 2018-01-22
Thanks for this
1 MrsMadHatter04 2018-01-22
I guess you have to get sick enough of your current now to get a better now
1 elasto 2018-01-22
But don't live in the present too much that people fail to plan for the future. People need balance.
1 Quetzalcoatlwasright 2018-01-22
I’m just saying to “be present”
I’m not saying don’t think or plan for things. But always be alert, aware, and open to change.
1 Zybbo 2018-01-22
There is only one moment you can do something: now.
Past is gone for good and future is uncertain.
1 kbluep7 2018-01-22
"Rise" or "rise up" are MK Ultra trigger words. I'm good thanks.
