What payload? I know they have been in talks with India about nuclear program options but it seemed more energy related. They did side with us when we stood up against UN regarding the Jerusalem embassy decision.

Another possibility that I don't see mentioned much is that it could have been a real missile that failed or missed target of its own accord. Seems reasonably likely given North Korea's track record.

I don't get how your response is a response to my comment. If TPTB want WW3 to happen, why wouldn't they have allowed the missile launch / destruction to be the first moves of the new war? Most people who are saying it was covered are claiming it was done so in order to avoid war. Why do TPTB want to avoid war suddenly?
