At this point, I'm of the belief that any significant American* company/organization would have been at least approached by the CIA. I mean, it would be silly for the CIA not to.

What the CIA does outside of the US is patently "illegal". You run an honest business that makes a good profit for you in a foreign country the last thing you'd want would be to have anything to do with the CIA or anything it gets up to having anything to do with you.

Unfortunately the exploitative nature of too many US businesses and multinationals abroad already depends on the US government using or having used whatever political, economic and financial pressure was necessary to pave the way for them, and that includes CIA activity to stir-up plenty of local trouble for them, too.
