What in the actual fuck?

Mary Reinard, 11, of Sunbury said she wanted to write a letter to the former presidential candidate because she considers Clinton her hero.
She told the Daily Item she had seen a story online about Clinton reportedly speaking to the dead, and, having lost a baby sister nearly a decade ago, Mary said she wanted to know if it was true.

Clinton’s bizarre pastime was detailed in the 1996 book “The Choice” by Bob Woodward.
Some of the candidate’s favorite dead friends include Eleanor Roosevelt and Mahatma Gandhi. When it was suggested by one of her advisers, Jean Houston, the co-director of the Foundation for Mind Research, that she try speaking to Jesus Christ instead. Clinton refused and stated that speaking to Jesus would be “too personal.”

Submission statement:
I happened across this article about the misspelled letter and the bolded quote stood out. A little girls wants to ask Hillary how to speak to the dead? Wtf? And down the rabbit hole I go. This Jean Houston character seems worth looking into.

she didn't want to learn how to speak to the dead

The implication is pretty clear man. She lost her little sister and wanted to know if Hillary could really talk to the dead. Pretty freaking clear.

The book says Hillary talks 'to' the dead, people like Eleanor Roosevelt. She doesn't "converse" with them like hearing voices or summoning demons...
the little girl lost her sister and maybe also talks 'to' her, and wanted to know if the story about Hillary doing that was true. In a different article I read, it said the girl admired and was a fan of Hillary and blah blah blah. It would've been a fan letter.

She talks to the dead alright. When she needs the votes!

Well she is surely nuts. Makes me curious about the dark occultism that they practice.

This Jean Houston character and the church of witches in Los Angeles sounds like a good place to start.

Yes, I've heard all this about Hillary Clinton (from the book).
I'm not a fan of Hillary, but all this could be quite innocent and sensationalized for the book. I mean, I sometimes will say things to my Dad (who has passed away). No, he doesn't answer.

Oh, okay. 🙂

Kind of weird yeah?

Yes, it is. Like I said, I'm not a fan of Hillary (I don't like her at all).

In the photo I see two generations of fetal alcohol syndrome.

You actually have a point haha.

Former Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King was known to hold seances to commune with the spirits.
John Dee, advisor of Queen Elizabeth I was known to commune with angels.
King Solomon summoned and communed with Demons (check out The Goetia)
The rich and powerful know about the true nature of reality, or at least have a more complete view than the majority of the "normies".
OP if you want to really go down the rabbit hole, try looking into Dr. Jacques Vallee's theories on what the UFO phenomenon could represent.

...according to medieval occult sources.
1 187ninjuh 2018-01-31
I mean, sure. What is your point though?
1 mr_dong 2018-01-31
But even the angels toyed with my consciousness, coming as demons and beings of light at the same time, the balance of my mind driving the battle into eternity.
1 187ninjuh 2018-01-31
Is that a quote of his, or an original dong'er?
I'm still very new to all of this, but I feel like viewing "them" as angels or demons is really just a function of your cultural upbringing.
I gotta put down the pipe and pick up meditating if I ever want to get my own answers though

Read some of this guy

Vallee is where I'm getting these ideas, however I haven't read any of his books yet. Once I finish the Illuminatus! Trilogy and Jung's Liber Novus I intend to dive into Vallee with reckless abandon.
Also, well said!

I have all of them, Passport in first edition :)
You can get a few online pdf but all of his works are worth reading. He was ahead of his time and it amazes me how many people have never heard of him when discussing UFO phenomena.

I think it may be because many (myself included) were still rooted in the materialist science view of reality, and the cognitive dissonance created by reading Valle at a time when there was still no "official" confirmation of the Phenomenon caused aversion. In other words, I made a point of trying to avoid the "woo" while also being into "conspiracy theory" in an attempt to be more "legitimate".
How wrong I was. Thankfully years of challenging my beliefs made the worldview transition rather easy, and extremely liberating, despite the occasional questioning of my sanity :)
I am hoping that I'll find some copies of his stuff in the various used bookstores around Toronto, as there isn't anything available on google play... and I feel like his books are going to be ones that I'll want to loan to friends and family.

Try John Keel as well.
1 187ninjuh 2018-01-31
Will do, thanks! Check out that book I mentioned by Carl Jung if you haven't... Liber Novus / The Red Book
1 mr_dong 2018-01-31
Why should i read it?
1 187ninjuh 2018-01-31
I'm still only halfway through the very long introduction, but...
Between ~1913 and 1926, Jung would retire to his study in the evenings and spend several hours engaging in what he termed "Active Imagination", or what seems to be some kind of meditative trance wherein he could commune with what he considered to be archetypes manifested by his subconscious. He recorded these conversations, made sketches, drew mandalas, etc and much of his body of academic work was informed by this practice. He kept it pretty quiet though, and as such the Red Book was not published until 2009.
I may be wrong, but I feel in my gut that it's connected, and an important work to take into consideration when dealing with the Phenomenon.
Also, it's a gorgeously bound book. Kind of looks like a bible.

Good to see you around Mr. Dong.

Nancy Reagan's use of astrology to influence (or guide) the way Ronald Reagan governed has been well established.
1 UgandanJesus 2018-01-31
The fuck does this have to do with the Reagans?
1 Dhylan 2018-01-31
Umm.... Do you know who Nancy Reagan was?

Umm.... Do you know who this thread is about?

Why do you only get angry when a Republican is mentioned?
1 Nomar_Garciawhiner 2018-01-31
Hey man, I saw something about Hilary making a statement about her 2008 campaign’s “faith leader” or something and how it was buried under the State of the union coverage. U think this guy has anything to do with “the church” from the CDAN posts from about a week ago? Not sure if this has been discussed on the sub yet I haven’t been paying much attention the last week.
