Stop Distracting Yourselves

Dear r/conspiracy, I would like to remind everyone as other people have done before that this should not have anything to do with politics. Politics is a dividing method and does absolutely nothing in the long run in promoting peace, benefiting the population; it is just another tool to divide and lure this sub into speaking about meaningless topics. Please think about the big picture.

We need to get rid of money and focus on self development.
1 nighthawk1961 2018-02-01
In theory, yes. In the real world that never works.

I agree that no one has presented a realistic way to transform society in this way.

As long as money is the driving force of our society, then self improvement, on a large scale, is impossible. We have more then 30 centuries (3,000 years) of examples to support this.

There must be a way to bring in a new system, without money, and benefit. A system that promotes extraterrestrial travel, working for the betterment of life. This is why this robust society that we live in needs to be in ashes.

About 30,000 (give or take a few thousand) years ago the people of Earth were tampered with genetically. Prior to this we were the utopian type of race you are pining for. After this we turned into the evil, selfish war mongering society we have today. Money, in and of itself, is not evil. It is the lust and greed for money that is the evil. Some people think they are better than others and they further think that because of this they are entitled to more. Hence, the utopian dream you describe is just that - utopian.

It will be in ashes soon, don't worry. This society was not built to last. But then the cirlce will repeat itself again.

Unless someone intervenes. To stop the repetitive path to destruction and their plot has already been exposed. In the end, the truth wins, and we can truly see the beauty of the humanity and the universe.
1 red13blue4 2018-02-01
Which is why it's critical to get rid of money if we want society to improve.
1 nighthawk1961 2018-02-01
True. But how?
1 red13blue4 2018-02-01
You need land and a way to shelter, water, and food your family for no cost and only requiring your labor.
1 nighthawk1961 2018-02-01
An excellent notion. Unfortunately this is considerably more difficult, at present, to accomplish then we would like.

Money creates a society of takers. We need to becomes givers and rid ourselves of taking.
1 Jabroni77 2018-02-01
If they did they were not around very long to get the message out.
1 russianbot01 2018-02-01
Money is ok, we just need to lose the Kardashian Idol worship of money in our society. If we look down on excessive houses and boats etc instead of praising them we could get somewhere.

What if we must rely on what is given to us by nature and our fellow human beings? We would need to give what we can of ourselves in order to receive from others.

To the OP: Your mission statement is all very well and good. However, the general population, and by extension most of this sub, need the vehicle of divisive topics for the same reason they need religion. They need something to believe and something to belong to. This is why a poster get heavily down voted if the poster strays from the accepted narrative - regardless of truth. The majority of this sub don't want truth, they want to told they are right - corroboration. Tell them, with hard proof, that they are wrong and you get down voted. That is why politics is a natural here. In conclusion, your intentions are laudable but futile.

Wow, spot on. I have had lengthy discussions with people, presented irrefutable evidence that their political alignment is bullshit, and hijacked by interests that care nothing about them.
In the end one of the most stubborn finally broke down and told me, "I need SOMETHING to believe in. If this is all bullshit then where the f do I go from here? No where. It's all just corrupted, and chaotic, and I can't handle that."
I respected him for at least admitting the truth, but found it a bit sad that he knew the truth deep down, and wasn't able to tear down false foundational beliefs.
In the end choosing a party simply gives you someone to blame that isn't the real problem. It's a defense mechanism for the system, and the real puppet masters IMO. Unfortunately it works quite well.
1 ogrelin 2018-02-01
That’s all well and good, but should be taken elsewhere.
1 nighthawk1961 2018-02-01
If you mean the politics, then I agree.
1 ogrelin 2018-02-01
Exactly what I mean.
1 kbluep7 2018-02-01
I wonder what makes people this way in general. The fact that they need to belong to something. It's probably because we're tribal as a species. Even more interesting is the outcast, the person who chooses to distance themselves from the tribe. Becoming a free thinker at the cost of being alone. For me it was intuitive decision to be this way. I just couldn't allow myself to live in delusion anymore.

The deal that attracts people to politics is that politics have observable short-therm consequences to most of the people. Policies most of the time will either benefit or harm you.
Many fringe topics don't have the same level of immediate and/or real effect..
1 Flytape 2018-02-01
Umm politics is also how we govern ourselves, it's almost like you're asking is not to participate in our own government.
1 Echoman16 2018-02-01
Okay, u/Flytape, unless you want to continue being among the undermining, corrupt, and evil government, as well as dividing and conquering, I recommend that you do as you wish, but this is for people willing to forget politics and move on.
1 Flytape 2018-02-01
So people who just want to stand aside and let the world do to them as they please?
1 Echoman16 2018-02-01
Well, politics follows an agenda and does not listen. So, if you wish to follow a storybook, go ahead.
1 Flytape 2018-02-01
Well for the sake of conversation, let's divorce the word politics from self governance. Currently we choose our politicians through a system of political debating, public relations and ultimately voting. I would hate to assume that you're against democracy and would like to assume that you're just exhausted with the dirty tactics of politics. Would this be a more accurate representation of your views? If so how do we make the system work without all the PR and mudslinging?

So, the founders were idiots and Somalia is the perfect model then? Got it. Thanks for that insight.
1 Echoman16 2018-02-01
No, it’s that the fact that the founders were rich white men from the upper class taking into account that they were the ones on the top. Oh, would there be generosity for he poor, or spaces? No, let’s create a government where water isn’t free, neither is food, oh and you can freeze while you’re at it.
