What has happened to Reddit politics Disturbed normal and all subs. Conspiracy is over run no logic is even in comments, what happened where did everyone go?
At first, they ignored the internet. But for the last decade, they have come to understand its power, and want nothing more but total control over the internet.
If they have not entirely succeeded yet, they have at least succeeded in ruining it.
What else has been ruined for me? Youtube, google, social media such as facebook/myspace (I used to enjoy facebook a lot more), memes, even 4chan has become ruined. e...even anime has been ruined ;D
I'd say the large quantities of astroturfing occurred since the 2016 election primaries,
And I've seen signs before as well.
Google restructuring 2015, Youtube transforming such that independents started complaining or quitting around 2015, Yishan Reddit CEO stepping down (yes he's left leaning but was an excellent advocate of free speech) 2014, "Who is this 4 Chan?" meme 2014 along with a hitpiece to attempt to make 4chan look like a terrorist hacker group on steroids, Saudi investment into Twitter 2011
I guess "the last decade" is an exaggeration it feels more like something stirred the last 5 years, and the internet began to suck.
These corporations are funding billions of dollars to infiltrating social media and influencing masses. Reddit starting taking huge hits during the 2016 election and it’s gotten worse since then.
I'm a crazy liberal, and I see a strong push in this sub from the DNC Establishment narrative. It seems that Trump supporters can't distinguish between the DNC/Obama/Clinton types and people who are crazy liberal like Sanders/Chomsky/Gabbard. I like crazy liberals.
What post about this did I make? I don't delete post.
do you mean this post "Are really REALLY fucking stupid questions planted in here to divert attention from other, more valuable posts within this sub, or are there an inordinate number of total numbskulls interested in conspiracy theories?" by u/-CantPlaySteelDrums-
By lost you mean that there's a whole lot of users who think this sub is full of deluded, gullible wingnuts who believe the most outrageous conspiracy theories over far more credible, and banal, realities?
Boo hoo, being exposed to reality must be a terrible experience
I don't disagree but we kept getting posts like this, too, adding to the problem. I don't want to read ten posts that are all the same in the same sub that are all about how the sub has lost its touch, either.
Reddit was lost in 2016. One by one the subs have fallen. They're a business and are free to allow manipulation and propaganda. If we don't like it, we don't have to participate.

Yup.. we need some kind of data to prove this site(as well as others) are being heckled by fictional profiles.

Why? This is a private company, they can allow whatever manipulation they want. If you don't like it, leave.

“crazy liberals” implies youre just as entrenched in the partisan divide
1 Intel333 2018-02-09
It’s mostly liberal posts that I see but there are some conservative. I myself am libertarian and this is just what I see. Just calling it as it is.

Let me rephrase, some are crazy not all, but a big majority.
1 Kind_Of_A_Dick 2018-02-09
This place has been political since before the election when users from t_d flooded it. It’s now just a battleground.
