What does taking guns away from the mentally ill really mean? After some research, I've put together this list the top 17 categories of U.S. citizens who are getting ready to lose their 2nd Amendment rights.

Guns are going anywhere.
NRA invests too much money into the republican party for guns to go any where

Yup.
Nothing is still going to get done.

Nothing should ever be done as a response to government psychological operations aimed at affecting legislation.

Again, the NRA invests a lot of money in donations to most of Congress.
Nothing is going to happen. Unless a gun man walks into Congress itself and shoots it up. Congress isnt going to do shit about it since it doesn't effect them and look money

Guns are not going away, but the type of people who can own them will if they use mental health as an excuse. As OP stated well enough, almost anyone can be declared mentally unstable for numerous reasons. All it takes is one corrupt psychiatrist and BAM! no more guns even if you are not mentally unstable. It is a very slippery slope when we start going after who can own/carry guns.
How about we focus on improving living/economic conditions, mental health services, access to clean food/water/air free of heavy metals/peticides, decrease dangerous antidepressants, etc.? Bet we will start seeing happier people with less violent outburts if we actually tackle the underlying problems that push otherwise healthy people down in the gutters.

The NRA gives a lot less money to members of Congress than the Pharmaceutical lobbyists do, which is why politicians have the sheep blaming guns instead of the drugs the shooters have been taking.

I wouldn't necessarily say "everyone who has ever ..." about the psych drugs.
Because you can go on this stuff because you need it and then cleared for not needing it after by a doctor. Just because you used it at once doesn't mean you're branded for life. There are also some forms of depression they prescribe them for that aren't considered life long conditions.

Wrong

Good thing this federally illegal weed has gotten me off all my prescriptions.
I'm sure they will leave an armed Veteran alone now for sure. Phew...
1 illSTYLO 2018-02-19
Dude if you smoke weed you are federally not allowed to own a gun.

Wait a sec - who's taking these Gun Rights away?
Last year, one of the first pieces of legislation voted on in 2017 was the bill Sen. Grassley put forward that stopped the Social Security Administration from sharing their Disability Beneficiaries with the NICS background checks for gun purchasers. Trump signed it into law in Feb or March of 2017. Now, people that are so disabled that they cannot work, and that have been diagnosed by their doctor, can get a gun.
So - i really have no idea what you are talking about. Do you mind sharing a source for where you get this info?

lol i could tell why he thinks they are going to take his guns away. If he's right, he's the first on the list.
1 rvnender 2018-02-19
It would cost so much money for them to take guns away and we can't afford it
1 Bacore 2018-02-19
... shall not be infringed..." Sounds like someone wants to infringe on me.
