A very sketchy place
1 2018-05-19 by Twisted_Gemini
So there is this little place in our town near our high school. It’s a factory that’s actually been closed down for quite a few years now but the place still operates under very weird circumstances. It’s near our school, like I said, and the fences separating the two buildings have broken down and me and 10 more friends went to investigate when we had a free period. There was an abandoned car in that area (let me say that actually getting to the factory through the broken fence was very rough as the path that leads there has a gap so we made a makeshift bridge to cross it) and we were just exploring until a guy started chasing us with a pitchfork. It wasn’t private property as the fences were broken and the main entrance was, and still is, wide open. What about the weird circumstances I mentioned above? No one actually knows what’s going on in there. We even asked the neighboring gas station and they said that a lot of trucks come in and out of that place but the actual factory has been abandoned for more than 5 years now. We are going to visit it again tomorrow in hopes of discovering something new. Our current theory is drugs and/or something way darker (hopefully it’s neither).

Livestream it somewhere so people can see and if you get into bad trouble it doubles as evidence
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
Well I don’t think live streaming is an option as my mobile data plan has just ended😢. But I’ll definitely post pictures when we get there tomorrow.

Be careful, bring a torch(flashlight) with extra batteries and if you find something illegal let the police deal with it.
Good luck :D
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
We actually wanted to call the police the first time we went there, as someone chasing us with a damn pitchfork wasn’t normal, but we didn’t want to get in trouble.
1 CalumOLN2 2018-05-19
You could try and talk to your council or something to see if the people youve seen entering are permitted to be there.
Getting chased by someone with a pitchfork wouldnt get you into trouble with the police though
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
When I said getting in trouble, I meant making a false call. Maybe we WERE trespassing private property. And then more people in the town would find out. That’s why we decided not to call the police.

I bet that guy didn't think a bunch of kids walking through his factory was normal either.

Attta boy. Best not to announce your plans, just do it and post the goods. Go off hours like early or late (not 9-5). Good luck.

What carrier?
1 LOST1992 2018-05-19
Make sure there are loads of you and take cameras with y'all so you can take pictures/videos. And try and stay safe.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
Of course. We will be careful.

I can leave my door open and my fence fall down, yet my house is still mine.
You leave a laptop on a table and it's not yours suddenly?
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
I know what you’re trying to say and you’re right. But that place DOESNT have an owner. Like i mentioned above, no one knows what it’s used for and it’s been abandoned for years. Of course we won’t trespass again, we just want to take a look from the outside
1 daysOFdelusion 2018-05-19
The property has an owner, you find the owner by looking at the records at the county assessor's office.
1 ichoosejif 2018-05-19
Yeah, look it up.
1 AnubarakStyle 2018-05-19
Yeah, be careful trespassing around suspected criminal activity. Exploration of empty places is dangerous enough..
1 dr3gs 2018-05-19
They posted pics lower in this thread, owners are probably using it for storage or parting out the old equipment. Buildings that size aren't just left for 5 years without anybody 'owning' it.
1 daysOFdelusion 2018-05-19
Yes, and I don't want to be critical since OP claims to be a in high school, I can't say I knew much about property at that age.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
You’d be surprised. Bear in mind that I don’t live in the US and things here are different. Most people just don’t have the money to preserve a factory which isn’t operating anymore, so they leave it be (after they try to sell it). And if they don’t want trespassers, I’m sure they would worry about fixing the main entrance first and maybe reclaiming the rights of the place and let people know what they’re ACTUALLY doing in there. Currently, they’ve done none of the things I mentioned, so their way of operating is illicit, as they aren’t the legal owners of the factory (that actual owners could be gone and no one simply cares about that property anymore). Of course, I’m not an expert in these things and I could be wrong, but that’s just my theory.

Just to give more info. Google your county plus CAD and you should be led to the county prop tax Accessor page. Most counties have a search engine to search by address and bingo you should have an owner name.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
I got nothing. My area definitely doesn’t have one.
1 Jurryaany 2018-05-19
I don't think you understand the concept of ownership...
1 DavieBPrime 2018-05-19
Don't listen to this user. Go be heroes. But make sure you each have a different colour t shirt on or your power won't work.

Hahaahaa. I enjoyed this comment very very much. Thank you

Guys I want to show you a satellite image of the factory so you can understand what I’m talking about but I can’t seem to find a way to upload it to this post.
1 CalumOLN2 2018-05-19
Upload it to imgur then share the link
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
So here is a link to an image hosting site where you can see a satellite image of the factory. It looks normal but it’s actually not. Notice the roof on the very top (the one that is destroyed) and the car parked right next to it. factory image

Don't go near the bandos, that's where they're trapping out of, my dude.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
Bandos?
1 TW0_BIRD5 2018-05-19
Slang for abandoned buildings.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
Oh
1 mastigia 2018-05-19
People that make drugs have guns, not pitchforks. This is really interesting though.
1 MadDinn 2018-05-19
How about slaughterhouse? Pitchfork would be the perfect stuff
1 mastigia 2018-05-19
Too right.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
Here is another image of how the place looks from the outside. It’s from google maps+I’m hiding names for obvious reasons factory image 2
1 dr3gs 2018-05-19
Owners could be using it for storage or parting out the old equipment. I'd be surprised if a building that sized was truly abandoned and not just unused.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
Oh, I don’t know. I mean they HAVE lost their rights to the building, so even something that simple is illegal
1 gt- 2018-05-19
My natural assumption would be something with drugs
stay safe man, if somebody tells you to fuck off, do it and keep your mouth shut. Drugs and information is not a game.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
I know. Drugs is what we’re thinking too. But yeah, it’s definitely not a game and like I said we won’t enter the factory itself. We’ll just take some photos tomorrow and hopefully there won’t be anyone there.
1 Yellowtag1 2018-05-19
Make sure that one of the kids in the group brings the "pinchers of power". You wouldn't believe how often they will come in handy.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
With the pinchers of power being...?
1 ichoosejif 2018-05-19
Bolt cutters. Horrible advice as its impossible to explain having them. Got a drone? Film with it.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
I hope you’re not talking about guns
1 Yellowtag1 2018-05-19
None of you guys ever saw goonies??? Pinchers of power, cmon
1 cum-pound-me-dia 2018-05-19
Are you actually fucking retarded?
1 ichoosejif 2018-05-19
I would do surveillance from afar first, before they realize you are wondering.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
That’s our plan.
1 marywasalizard 2018-05-19
Take money, lots of money. Make sure you have all your best jewelry on and wear loud shoes. If possible, wear a jacket that rustles and have your phone playing loud music at all times.
Don't sneak about like a faggot. Play life on hard mode.
1 TW0_BIRD5 2018-05-19
Good shit. R/shittylifeprotips
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
Yes. Best piece of advice ever 😂
1 Tha_Dude_Abidez 2018-05-19
Dude I would stay away from that place. Close to my hometown there's "haunted houses" on a place called "Red Root Ridge". They are creepy AF for the simple fact of there's 3 houses and a trailer and all the furniture, kitchen stuff, toys, books, etc is still in them. Of course it's all rotting away etc as the houses have been vacant for years. One of the last trips up there we went at night and came across some people cooking meth. It was crazy and sucked cause the houses did had a freaky vibe. Not worth dying for though.
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
That must’ve been scary and unexpected, just like our experience. But this time we won’t get inside.
1 FORKinmyDICK 2018-05-19
Coordinates?
1 RobustPotential 2018-05-19
Anyword on that daycare from like a year or two ago that had like containers of toys being shipped linked to it. I forget the name of it but mayne someone remembers. It was real sketchy too
1 RobustPotential 2018-05-19
Toys:
5 companies are on a bill of lading for 1 shipping container, contents listed as 1.1KG of "plastic jewelry", and 6,852KG of "soccer/footballs" from China. 1 company in California makes electronic and other "educational toys" and seems to be on the up-and-up. 1 bait-shop in Idaho with a registered sex-offender living at the same address as a company listed as receiver of goods from the shipment. 1 Some financial agency shell-game in Chicago. 1 shady day care in Salt Lake City whose owner shares the last name with an executive (see management, not mayoral) level employee working in City Hall. 1 bounce house rental company in Oregon no one has looked into yet.
The actual shipping of this container was facilitated by a company with an employed sales executive who once bought/sold 'merchandise' in the defense sector

{UPDATE}. I went there today with my friend and we definitely saw some weird stuff. First of all, it was around 7 pm when a car was parked outside the entrance. My friend and I hid behind some bushes and waited for him to leave. The guy in question was the exact same guy that chased us with a pitchfork last time. When that happened, I forgot to mention that we looked at each other for a brief moment, so he saw my face. I felt genuinely scared and uneasy today and wanted to leave. Nevertheless, I decided to stay and take a couple of pictures for the post’s sake. factory image 3 Those things you see (I forgot what they’re called) were located behind the entrance west of the main one. They weren’t there before. I know that for a fact, because a few days ago I passed through that area with a car and there was nothing there. I know what you’re thinking. “Okay, it’s just the owner using it for storage”. Except it’s not. The gate WAS indeed open, but it was forcefully opened. I could tell because it was slightly bent over and the lock 🔒 was broken. It’s not the owner. It’s just a random guy (or guys?), using the factory for something illegal, like drugs. The door leading to the inside used to be chained as well, but this time the chain was lying on the ground and it was clear that someone forcefully opened it with a tool. Again, this is just my theory and I could be wrong about this whole thing. As we were leaving, a car approached the factory again. This time, it was a van and the driver was a different guy but a couple of crates could be visible from the back windows. They had plastic bags in them. We didn’t know what to think, so we just high-tailed it out of there. At this point I don’t know whether I should report it to the police for suspicious activity or simply leave the abandoned factory be and never come back.
1 CalumOLN2 2018-05-19
I say go again at midnight and see if you can find any evidence of definite illegal activities. Try and get into the factory if you can. If you find anything illegal then you can call the police and give an anonymous tip-off without saying you tresspassed(even though it might not even be tresspassing)
1 Twisted_Gemini 2018-05-19
I don’t know, I just think it’s too dangerous to go by myself.
1 jasenlee 2018-05-19
I think if something really nefarious is going on there you probably aren't going to be chased by some rando with a pitchfork. You'd be shot before you could get within 50 feet of the building.
