Why all the Musk Shilling?
1 2018-05-26 by chesedemon666
I get it, everyone should be against fake and misleading news. But even /r/worldnews recognizes that it's BS unless the reviewers are reviewed as well. Otherwise it will boil down to "this is too left/right/damning for a company I support for my opinion." CEOs should not have a monopoly on truth, whether a car, space, or media company.

He has a real car company and a fake space company.

The model 3 would kindly disagree with you.

I'm sick of the EnoughSpam type subreddits, they just end up giving the people more publicity and start ignorant arguments.
Just use a fucking multi and enjoy the content you enjoy, they shouldn't try to r/all whore for perception gaming purposes, and then seek out threads discussing those individuals to start bickering wars.
We all need to relearn how to use reddit.

I suspect that Elon is a conservative thus all the hate.
He used to be adored by the left until Trump tapped him to consult on his economic panel.
Even after he quit, it wasn’t good enough for those psychos.
Now he’s targeting the lefty media so they’re really going to come after him.
1 42O2 2018-05-26
I agree. There are real issues with the media, but when you have dishonest assholes like him and Trump calling everything they don't like fake, despite the media actually being very good to both of them over the years, it gets fucking old.
1 TheRadChad 2018-05-26
I wouldn't say the media was "good" to him. The elections showed who they favoured. The anchors admitted it.
Trump says ignorant shit, but I don't think anyone can really say the media treated him as fairly as other candidates.
1 chesedemon666 2018-05-26
He knew how they would treat him and played them into giving him free advertising.
1 chesedemon666 2018-05-26
Not saying I like him, but he's been in the business of media whoring for decades.
1 Drake02 2018-05-26
You're not wrong, it basically created this self-feeding machine to his campaign.
1 troy_caster 2018-05-26
lol @ citing r/worldnews.
1 chesedemon666 2018-05-26
My point was that /even/ they are able to see what's wrong with this.
1 Paprika_Nuts 2018-05-26
Whatever narrative r/worldnews believes or promotes is usually opposite of truth.
1 ANONHe3 2018-05-26
Why not add to the discussion? OK said even world news, implying that although it's full of bullshit they still recognise it.
I despise these types of comments on conspiracy. It should be about open discussion and debate, not just absolutely shutting it down.
I think with Musk its the fact he's done some things in the past that were pretty dickish. The whole early PayPal thing and taking peoples balances was a douche bag move and he got very rich from it.
I think alot of people focus on current assets to determine tesla/space x and completely disregard the fact that the investors are investing in the future and not for a quick pay back.
Then after allllll the publicity he got he became more vocal and eccentric which gave people ammunition to attack his character.
This is ofcourse just my opinion, but it's how I view it. I dont understand the hatred for him.

It seems trump supporters are latching on to musks rants about fake news.
1 seeking101 2018-05-26
its not trump supporters, its people that are happy to see the media being held accountable
1 Clemson4Wheel 2018-05-26
but only Trump supporters would want responsible journalism. /s
1 JamesEpep 2018-05-26
If musk came out and said he thought trump was an idiot, trump supporters would attack him in droves despite his newfound hatred of MSM.
No doubts.
1 Paprika_Nuts 2018-05-26
Doesn't mean that everyone supporting Musk's spat with the media is a Trumpling.
1 JamesEpep 2018-05-26
That’s true. But, I was commenting on why it was getting a lot of play around here and from trump supporters. Though I think most people think his idea is bad because of how easily it can be manipulated
1 seeking101 2018-05-26
I'm a trump supporter and no i wouldn't
1 JamesEpep 2018-05-26
I’m gonna go ahead and assume you would. Thanks for your input though.
1 Drake02 2018-05-26
I'm starting to hate the fact that if Trump supporters end up liking something it cause this entire fucking site to declare jihad on the individuals lol.
The fact that the political goons on either side hate each other with such immense fervor means that actual reddit users are drowned out through all their vote manipulation and bullshit.
It's reactionary and pointless, who gives a fuck if the people you hate like someone, on either side? Is it some sacred duty to tear their credibility to shreds because some individuals view their new found fans as evidence of some malign action by said individuals.
It's pure lunacy.

It seems shills and mindnumbed idiots are latching onto the label of Trump supporter to define anyone who supports those with celebrity status challenging the bullshit regime we've suffered under. Congrats you're a tadpole!

Many people are angry at the media and it is likely we’ll soon start seeing grassroot media platforms.
Musk is always used as controlled opposition so the establishment can keep a grip on distruptive technology.
1 Digitel 2018-05-26
exactly
1 gwoz8881 2018-05-26
First, Elon Musk is a moron that doesn’t understand the capability of technology. Second, he constantly lies. I can post examples after examples, but i’ve provided some many times before. Go through what he says and decide for yourself what is possible and what is flat out a lie
1 Drake02 2018-05-26
Why all the Musk hate as well though?
What's with all the pointless hate on reddit lately. They are literally attempting to tear down anyone who catches the public's eye. There has always been iterations of this when fads become old, but not to these vicious ends we've been seeing lately.
1 DavieBPrime 2018-05-26
I like Elon. He's Cool, funny and charismatic. But I've seen too many movies and Tv Shows that all go the same way.
The fugly nerd turned good looking billionaire Is always a super villain. Y'all seen Iron Man 3?
Lol. This season The Flash villain The Thinker was even from South Africa.
Don't know anything about Musk's earlier life so on that basis he's probably seen some shit back home when he was younger that's made him hate humanity. Well our society. He means to change it. In his mind, he means to save us.
I eagily wait Elon Musk's take over. Just for the Lols more than anything.
1 Turpekal_Thrizz 2018-05-26
He isnt really helping anyone, only the rich can benefit from his endeavors. Ill change my mind if space x lands on the moon, but i doubt that will ever happen.
1 WhydoesNASAlie 2018-05-26
He’s selling more efficient energy for 40k + and putting cars in cgi space. He’s a crook, nothing more.
1 chesedemon666 2018-05-26
He knew how they would treat him and played them into giving him free advertising.
