Georgia Guidestones visit

Hey! I'm visiting the Georgia Guidestones this weekend, does anyone want me to look into anything specific, or take any special pictures while I'm there?

Take lots of pictures. Also, talk to the locals and ask them what they think about it.

Yeah, I want to do this. Thinking of looking up some of the older more established families and see if any of them are willing to do a sit down interview over them. Will tag you in the update post if I find anything cool!

A good way to find older people would be to visit a church too. Doesn't matter if you are religious or not, but you will find older folks in a church. Also, if they see you are a visitor to their church, they might be more willing to talk to you.

That's actually really smart. I'll look into some local churches. Maybe I'll try to line my trip up to get there on Sunday. Stop in for a Sunday service.

Some churches have Sunday evening services too. But more people go on Sunday mornings.

Can you please try and confirm that where it says "Author: R.C. Christian" it also says "A pseudonyn" rather than spelling it the proper way, pseudonym?
And maybe look out for any other misspellings on any of the carvings that you're able to read?

Was planning on this, I'll make a update post and tag you when I have the info!

Take a picture of where the keystone should be, and try and get a close-up of the part directly left of where the keystone is placed.
And keep a look out for odd graffiti or symbols on or around the stones and take pics of those as well. Some of the photos on web image searches have some weird graffiti.

Keystone? Ive never heard that before regarding the guidestones

That one didn't fit, and there's a few websites/blogs that decode that keystone. It may have been to commemorate someone's wedding as well. There was a video online of that keystone being chopped into pieces and given away as souvenirs.

Check out the nearby small towns while you're there. They have a really creepy vibe. Tons of obelisks of various sizes and huge stone sculptures peoples. I've been to tons of small towns across the country this there's something off about Elberton county.

Fun fact: their softball team is called "The Elbert County Diamond Devils" with a devil face as logo.

Try and get a look on top. See if there's still a dark red puddle/stain on the top slab of rock.

Take a compass and check out its directional alignments.

I live about an hour away and went to check it out about 3 years ago. It sits a bit further off the main road than expected (on your left of coming from i85), so it's pretty easy to miss. All in all, it was a pretty cool visit though.

Wrap a big chain around it and hook it to your truck and pull that bitch down. Then run up and slap it with your shoe.
