Referencing Kevin McCarthy(R) U.S. Rep. from California, "There's two people I think Putin pays..." But that left some of us wondering about Devin Nunes?

Today, the paper local to Devin Nunes' (R) Congressional District, in the southern half of California's big central and agriculture dominant valley.

There was an article rebutting a current campaign ad by Nunes, charging the Fresno Bee with all manner of subterfuge against him.

But the interesting part is how a company he is invested in has this Russian connection.

Nunes is an investor in a Napa winery called Alpha Omega that is owned by a friend.

The story reported that Alpha Omega sold wine to Russian clients in 2013. A Russian alcohol distributor called Luding lists Alpha Omega as one of its American suppliers. The discovery of that relationship came as Nunes and his committee looked into the suspected election meddling.

It should be noted that Alpha Omega tweeted it only did business in Russia in 2013. That involved a single transaction for 22 cases. But Luding still lists Alpha Omega on its website.

Question... do you care about Israeli "connections" as much as you do about Russian connections? Simple yes or no, will do. THX.

You get to ask the question but you can't provide my reply.

I see a lot of finger pointing blame shifting, I don't think it is out of the question Netanyahu is very dirty and those tea party Republicans have certainly been cooperative with him. Remember when they had him address Congress to demand that Obama invade Iran?

Have we seen any outcome to Netanyahu's corruption trial?

Simple yes or no, will do. THX.

...

Offer refused, with pleasure of course.

Why, bby?

Can I distract you as well. It looks like fun.

Too late.

Oh noes!

U.S. wine exports, 97% from California, reached $1.53 billion in winery revenues and 380 million liters (42.2 million cases) in 2017.

It appears Luding lists everyone they have ever done business with. It makes them look more global.

22 cases sounds like they bought some but in the end didn't want it.

The Fresno Bee seems to have a grudge against Nunes(from coverage of a civil case that has nothing to do with Russia).

By your logic anyone who has ever traded globally has a Russia, China, UK, insert whatever nation connection.

I said it indicated a connection that I had not seen before though it apparently included in the original article published by the Fresno Bee.

I very naturally wondered about a connection when Nunes made that midnight run to the White House early in the investigation. Not to mention all his actions while leading that same investigation, that exonerated Trump and Russia.

I said it indicated a connection that I had not seen before though it apparently included in the original article published by the Fresno Bee.

You linked a poor man's snopes article. It isn't actually an article. It is an editorial that shows an obvious grudge against Nunes.

You realize 22 cases of wine is what amounts to nothing? It is sample. Whoever is buying tries it out, looks at the margins and decides if they it is a wine they want. You have gone down a 22 cases of wine rabbit hole, anything for muh Russia I guess.

The article is a rebuttal to a political ad.

I said I found the connection interesting, like finding a mole hole.

I don't chase all the details and If I am speculating and extrapolating, I usually admit it.

Do you believe you linked a news article or an editorial? It doesn't appear you explored anything before posting.

The link I posted is a rebuttal to a political ad. It is not an editorial or opinion piece, it is a point by point rebuttal, that the newspaper can support by linking to their original article, and they do, the one Nunes' political ad is attacking.

Your link is editorial. An editorial putting on its best snopes impression. It is labeled as an editorial... The link itself sends you to the opinion/editorials portion of the website... You can't be serious lol

Yes, that is the page newspapers use for rebuttals of charges against them and corrections as well.

I'll ask the simplest of questions. Look right above the headline. Your link is clearly labeled as an editorial. Is what you linked an editorial?

Yes, that is the page newspapers use for rebuttals, it is traditional.

Haha, ok. It is a yes or no question. Is what you linked an editorial?

No it is a rebuttal published on the editorial page as is a long tradition in the business. Every point they cover can be verified by looking at their own original article they are defending against a political ad by Nunes.

No, it is a rebuttal to a political ad by Nunes.

It is a long tradition that newspapers, defending their own record, which can be verified by the original article, are published on the editorial page.

Nunes is clean as a whistle. The Russiagate stuff needs to die. Pathetic witch hunt and an abuse of the justice department.

I can't find a single statement to agree with, and I can't justify a reply to any of them each being far too common to fail to note

I just never thought I would see the day the Republican President would churn out the political attack talking points, to be handed around the internet like currency.

He's doing good work and you're smearing him. The manipulated vote totals don't mean anything. You're full of shit.

What good work is Nunes doing? When did creating a cover story and spin for what looks like a treasonous conspiracy with a hostile nation become a good thing?

The real conspiracy, the real treason is with the Democrats. You're the one trying to push a faulty cover story by smearing Nunes.

We know what Nunes has been doing, can you list a specific thing the Democrats have done and name the Democrat?
