Need people to interview
1 2018-06-20 by gcseandalevelscience
I have a youtube channel for my school where I do revision videos.
I want to expand into more interesting, yet still science related things to get my pupils more engaged
Is there a moon landing denier here willing to do a short interview?
I already have a flat earther willing to take part ...See link
I would also be interested in mediums, psychics, UFO abductees etc etc
Any takers?

What is the angle of repose and why should it be noticeably different on mars than on earth? Do we observe this difference in the images that NASA provides us?
1 gcseandalevelscience 2018-06-20
Well the angle of repose is the steepest angle we can make from lose material... I'm not sure how that relates to me wanting an interview to engage my pupils 😀😀

You should do an experiment where you compare the angles of hills on mars and hills on earth in the event that they are the same what could be deduced from this information?

Well trigonometry and splitting vectors could help us inferr gravitational differences.
Is this what you mean?

Yeah

Sorry 😁😁😁😂😂

He wants to know if you will use the interview to mock his views. And while I don't agree with them, CaptainApolyon is probably the most well read and intelligent of that subgroup.

Ah right i see.
I am using the interview to engage my pupils and set an example.
I am willing to put in writing it will not be uploaded unless approval from the interviewee is given
1 mastigia 2018-06-20
Explain that to him. Just saying, of all the users to interview that might show up, he is a good one.

Will do

You won't be ridiculing cracked pots, will you?
Just because someone thinks differently doesn't make them wrong.
1 gcseandalevelscience 2018-06-20
No ridicule

As long as you don't paint contrarians as batshit, I'm good.
[In my experience, many contrarians are the sane ones.]
1 gcseandalevelscience 2018-06-20
Does that mean you are up for it? 😀
1 gcseandalevelscience 2018-06-20
It has been suggested to me that you are educated in this area but may be wary I would use the video to redicule your views.
I am happy to provide in writing nothing would be uploaded without your prior approval

That's much to kind of them to say. I'm simply a collector of anomalies and not well spoken or charismatic enough to put on a good interview for you. I do wish you the best and compliment your efforts to introduce your students to different often hastily condemned ideas.

Well thanks, and if you change your mind...

He's much more methodical and has been researching these anomalies for much longer than I. He went to the same alternative school as Grigori Perelman

you should do stuff on spirituality as well
1 gcseandalevelscience 2018-06-20
I'm honestly open to all different stuff. Just need volunteers 😀

Metaphysics and theosophy would be good subjects to do if you can't locate practitioners as much of the great work has been laid out before us in text. You just need to decipher it. Other mystery schools would be fun to exam from your suggested perspective as well. Honestly I'd like to take your class for just such a reason. You're bound to stumble on a lot of good stuff. Hell antigravity, and electrogravitics would be a blast as well. Bayfield-Brown papers would be fun to dig through.
1 Squirrelboy85 2018-06-20
Would this be used also to teach critical thinking skills.
1 WayfarOuthere 2018-06-20
Even if that wasn't part of his initial goal, his pupils are going to develop the skill do to the nature of the discussions. Even we are benefiting from the experience of taking part in this discussion.
1 Squirrelboy85 2018-06-20
That's a good way to look at it.
1 gcseandalevelscience 2018-06-20
I don't see why not.. good idea
1 Squirrelboy85 2018-06-20
More things should be taught in schools that challenge the younger ones.
