Keep an open-mind
1 2018-07-05 by KJGB
I don’t know if it’s been said, and if it has, sorry for the redundancy, but I think it is always important to remember that no one can ever be certain about anything these days. Unless you see something with your own eyes, there will always be some uncertainty. This day and age, pictures, videos, articles, “police reports”, literally anything, can easily be produced. It’s important not trust media (which I hope most people in this subreddit know). At the same time, being fixated on one theory or outcome is no better than being fixated on a story the news presents. Always just have an open mind and try to see things from as many perspectives as you can. You’ve all probably heard this but a reminder never hurts :)

Well said. A bit off topic (kinda), but, does anyone else think that there's not ~8 billion people on Earth? Seriously, think about it... What if there was really only several hundred million?
1 KJGB 2018-07-05
Same thinking as, “if a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, did it really fall?” Again, unless you individually went to each region of this earth and counted for yourself, no one can ever be certain. You should look into simulation theory. It’s quite intriguing, although I personally am skeptical of its practicality.
1 Putin_loves_cats 2018-07-05
Indeed.
I have, and I too, am skeptical of it. I personally think it's a theory to rob us of our humanity and Soul Being. Big red flag, is that it's being pushed by MS scientists and influential people. Calling shenanigans!

I don't think there's a conspiracy to it, it's a theory like any other that is totally possible. I buy into simulation theory- sort of... I entertain that it's a viable possibility. Some people think so, that's their belief, yes it robs life of meaning, just like countless other things these days. But really how is a simulation any different from "reality" when everything is perceived in our own brains anyways... What difference would it make??? Also gets you thinking, if it were true, about AI...

My ex wife was Hispanic and I swear I could sneeze on her and get her pregnant. The number may be off, but I'm not sure how much.
My theory is that they're trying to cull the numbers. There's been many posts of there being sterility issues on a global scale in regards to males. I wouldn't be surprised if those in power know that our present status as a planet (the amount of people living in areas that are drying up for example) is not sustainable. They very well could be releasing something, in some form (chem trails, food, whatever) that's making males sterile. That'd be a less violent, world changing way to depopulate than nukes for example. Slowly depopulate the planet by curbing reproduction.

I used to think that way, as well. But, the more you look into it, the more you realize that TPTB invert everything, use reverse psychology, and implement the Hegelian dialectic.
On one side, you have people thinking Earth is overpopulated, and on the other side, you have people who think TPTB are trying to cull the population. See how this could be very effective for TPTB? Both rely on fear. Get where I'm going with this?
1 GeneralApollyon 2018-07-05
Yup. The population used to be way bigger before the catastrophe of the late 19th century and subsequent clean up. When the only source for statistics is coming from the inteligência (CIA) and totalitarian dictatorships like China it seems almost silly to take their word for it.
1 Putin_loves_cats 2018-07-05
Exactly! We all talk about how evil the UN is and such, but, these are the organizations giving us these "stats". CT's are kind of holding a double thought here.
It also brings more sense to the phrase: "It's a small world". Because, really it is (population wise). IDK, just an interesting thought I've been thinking about lately, and OP reminded me of it.
1 GeneralApollyon 2018-07-05
That's what people don't understand about the way this manipulation can be so effective. People assume a huge population of really smart intellectuals you would assume there are more that a million professional physicists in the whole world but there isn't there's less. And even less when all these theories were being solidified and the text books written. Mark train was spot on with his assertion that a lie is easy to make people believe it's in the un-telling of that lie where the struggle is.

Idk man, there's ALOT of people in Asia. Like, really alot.
1 Putin_loves_cats 2018-07-05
I know (or think) there is, but, is there really as much as they are saying? That's my point. Did you know, that millions of people just "vanished" in the US during the Great Depression? Yet, that number was never fixed. I'm just saying... something fucky is going on. Remember a nations "worth" is based on population. Cannot you not see why they may be lying about it? Everything (in Commerce) is a rich man's trick.
1 TheBongzilla 2018-07-05
Wow, can you link me up on that? Didn't find much.
Well you can make a country/state more or less relevant by the number of its population. I definitely don't doubt it. But the taxes wouldn't match up.
The thing is, there's places like the favelas in Brazil where the government literally has no control of. They have their own services (water, TV, commerce), their own taxes (to drug dealers), their own police and they might even create their own bank and money. It's expected that 900 million people live in favelas in Brazil alone, but the number could be and probably is even higher. Also "small" cities in China have a population of 500.000! India aswell.
But I would doubt that someone isn't taking advantage of population numbers to make money tho.
1 yummypeanutjelly 2018-07-05
My only question is why lie and exaggerate the number?
1 Putin_loves_cats 2018-07-05
Many reasons, imo. But, the main reason would be human capital. A country is only worth as much as the population. This is not getting into the more "nefarious" reasons.
1 RemixxMG 2018-07-05
As in fudge the numbers to effectively vanish people from the official census so "they" can take them to do with as they please?
1 Osziris 2018-07-05
I have no way of proving or disproving, but my gut tells me that there is not 8 billion people on earth. Like I said I can't prove it but it's cool to know some people think that as well. Also I think certain places or countries are literally fabricated or our perception is distorted for whatever reasons ie North Korea.
1 IanPhlegming 2018-07-05
I've lived in big cities and there were millions of people in each of them.
How many people do you think are really in New York City? Chicago?Los Angeles?
Have you been to Paris? Pretty crowded. How about Madrid? Moscow? I've been all those places. Lots of people.
We may not be at 8 billion. But several hundred million? No.
I do wonder if they're killing the homeless, however. Strange how many there used to be in my city and you don't see nearly so many anymore.
1 Putin_loves_cats 2018-07-05
I've done a lot of traveling, and I'm not seeing it. You assume there are millions, but, you don't know for sure. If you saw a crowd of 100k people, and a crowd of supposedly 1 million people, I wonder if you could even tell the difference (would your brain "fill in the gaps" - ie more people than there actually are). Not sure mention, we have photo manipulation. I'm sorry, I'm not buying it. I'm going to say, there is 800-900 million total on Earth.
1 IanPhlegming 2018-07-05
I've been to football and futbol games and massive concerts. I saw a futbol game in Spain that had 100,000+ people.
I've not been to China, but I have friends who have. There are cities with skyscrapers full of people, like something out of Judge Dredd.
This is an intriguing theory, though. How would we know if there are 3 billion or 8 billion?
1 Putin_loves_cats 2018-07-05
Dude, China has ghost towns (LIKE THE US AND OTHERS). I'M NOT BUYING IT. How many States have you been to in the US, out of curiosity? I've been to 40. Shits empty, unless you go to a "city ".
1 IanPhlegming 2018-07-05
I just counted on Map Loco. I've been to 39 states. And I've lived overseas and traveled extensively.
Let's take Texas, a place I've spent a lot of time. Between Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth and El Paso, you're talking 8 million people--just within the city limits. Then you've got all the sprawling suburbs around them, which roughly triples it. There's 25 million people right there, or roughly 7% of the country.
Now go to all the big east coast cities: New York, Boston, D.C., Atlanta, Miami and so on. On the west coast, suburban L.A. has 13 million people all by itself.
it adds up pretty quickly. Right now 81% live in "urban areas," which are cities and suburbs around those cities.
I would agree that "Shit's empty, unless you got to a city." The thing is, you're not taking into account how much of the population lives in vicinity of those cities.
1 KJGB 2018-07-05
What makes you think that a census conducted by a government cannot be manipulated as much as a bogus article coming out of CNN or FOX? Did you not comprehend my point? Referencing an article is meaningless because there is no way to validate its accuracy.
1 IanPhlegming 2018-07-05
This is one of those subjects where I feel pretty confident that we've got several billion human beings on the planet. Gonna just have to disagree. Hopefully it will all come out if it's a lie, and I'll be blown away.
1 GeneralApollyon 2018-07-05
This idea that we are over populated is exacerbated by cramming so many in one little area.
1 daneelr_olivaw 2018-07-05
Dude, if you went to India, China, Indonesia, you'd see that there's an enormous abundance of people. It's actually mind boggling to see these crowds in person, to see them between the millions of buildings, in giant urban centres. I'm surprised that there's just 8 Billion of us and I truly hope we will stop at 9B at most, otherwise the immigration into Europe will be fatal to us living here.
1 ThreeWolfMoon-Kin 2018-07-05
Unless Indonesia is also a conspiracy! Its not an island! Its just a tiny rocks a little bit above Antartica!
1 TheBloodEagleX 2018-07-05
Honestly think there's more than ~8 billion since it's difficult to get a very accurate figure; it's mostly educated guesstimate and some good enough census work from a few countries.
1 allonthesameteam 2018-07-05
This can hardly be conveyed to much.

Good reminder.
In addition to being open minded, I'll say don't be lazy. As in put in your due diligence and do more than skimming through headlines and reading the top comments. In my experience, the internet is the place for leads. The library(books) is where your money is.

Think for yourself. Question everything.
If you have an eye for bullshit, the branch of philosophy-epistemology(the theory of knowledge) is absolutely worth studying.
