Does anyone have any speculation on if the massive news coverage of the Thai soccer team is a diversion tactic? Any idea what we are supposed to not pay attention to?

I agree pisses me off bad. Another Russian dropped dead in Europe and all anyone cares about is these poor boys in the cave. Once I heard navy seals were involved I stopped worrying for the boys.

Why? One of those SEALS died already. Why were you ever worried and what does it mean that you can turn your empathy for others on and off so quickly? I think this is decent enough pulp news for people. People want to feel hope, they want to feel empathy for those across the globe, they want to see success and see things go right through human cooperation.

I’d say the obsession with these events, at least initially, is a far better representation of a good mindset than obsession with things like celebrity, politics, entertainment, finance, etc because all of those things are perfectly crafted from conception til execution to elicit a particular response (usually buying something) from you. Crazy accidents break through because real people with real feelings are involved. Remember the missing plane extravaganza? Everyone wanted that plane to be found. Everyone worked together to try to figure it out. It was an attempt to make the best of tragedy and teach ourselves through it, same as this I think.

I just don’t think it’s a big deal, just because you’re tired of hearing about it. Try switching the channel, or better yet, go to the park for a while, have a nice dinner and a glass of wine, reread your favorite book of all time and go to bed realizing that none of this bullshit has to bother you, it’s your choice to focus on it.

I don't like your assumption I have compassion that turns on or off. I am worried this is a false flag type of event and just wondered if any folks here had any ideas on what it could be?

Dude it's not the cave it's the millions of Americans watching the cave. CNN live updates pushed to billions of handheld devices. Wouldn't it be a gas if they actually pushed something useful? Like the decisions of Bret Kavanaugh or anything else. Flint Michigan still has poison water. Also I think all have been rescued. They were all getting out of there alive. It was no reason for an entire nation to stop looking at what's going on here.

All this does is bolster my belief that the Steele Dosier is actually true and Trump likes golden showers. Nunes has a lot of missteps in the other direction.
