Here's a direct attack on your source from another agenda driven propaganda outfit:

Reputable news orginazations have exposed that "mediabiasfactcheck" is heavily biased and run by some far left 33 yo dude with no journalism or scientific experience

Would you consider this source free of bias? Or factual? And if so on what grounds?

Cool to see a clear eyed unbiased guy reporting on bias
1 hdhevejebvebb 2018-07-10
Ah yes coming from the paradigm of non bias user u/contestmodealt

Thanks for posting this! There are quite a few interesting things in that chart. One thing that stands out to me is that this sub and /r/libertarian are the only ones that have a fairly even balance between biases. So while we do have the biased users still, at least they seem to be fairly equally represented. Then there are the two news subs that appear to actually do a good job of staying neutral, which is pretty impressive.

Extreme Right Hate Group, but no Extreme Left Hate Group? I take that to mean that the author of the study believes that the left are the "good guys" while the right are the "bad guys" and that's where my trust in the study ends...where it began.

Let alone that, how do they even quantify bias? Suppose I post an article that is critical of Trump, does that automatically mean it has a left bias?
1 rednaskal 2018-07-10
The source of the news article counts only, not the content. If it is from Fox News it counts as right bias If it is from CNN it counts as left bias
Quite stupid methodology IMO.

Why is there no Extreme Left Hate Group?
This either negates me entirely, or... or... the website has a bias and only Hate can come from the Right. No matter how factually accurate this report is, that breakdown alone shows me how little attention to pay to it.
And since I consider "center-left to right" to be pro-corporate, pro-authority type voters, my own break-down would look like this:
Left: 17.2%
Corporatists, statists: 78.5%
Right: 4.3%
And on a sub like this, the middle group is likely lurkers who rarely post.. and of course our good friends who enjoy camping out in this forum and correcting records, managing truths, and such.

It’s like a uncontrollable growth, a TuMOR.

Why not "left to right"?
The left pushes for Big Government. The Government is practically a corporation. Big Gov is Big Corp on steroids.
1 Space_Pecs 2018-07-10
Is your analysis American centric? I ask, because the American left would be pretty far right in the rest of the world. The Americsn right would be a fringe group to be basically ignored.

^ Bullshit btw

What part of that is bullshit?

"the rest of the world" is overstating it a bit, but limiting it to other Western democracies, yeah, that's pretty much the way it is.

Where is the data? There's nowhere to see how sources are classified.

A user posted yesterday, in this sub, that he had been banned for pointing out a right wing bias in r/conpsiracy.
He reiterated his claims again. I don't know if he sourced them, and said he'd be banned for this comment.
I am pretty sure that if he deleted his comment it would show a comment as "[deleted]" but there's nothing here.
Did he really get banned for that? Is there some crazy shit going on with the admins of this sub?
1 AnonDidNothingWrong 2018-07-10
Is this a joke? I'm convinced the vast majority of people banned are actually right wingers. I'll say, it's not like it used to be about a year ago. It used to be left wing trolls, calling people names and antagonizing them until they responded, then once you respond you get banned. Like I said, i guess mods kicked out the abusive mods because it doesn't seem to be that way anymore.
1 pontiacsky 2018-07-10
It's not a joke, I wish it was. I'll talk privately with you but don't want to get myself banned for explaining.
