True detective show flat earth

So I just watched the first season and it was amazing but rust talks about something I thought was interesting
"In this universe, we process time linearly– forward. But, outside of our spacetime, from what would be a fourth-dimensional perspective, time wouldn’t exist. And from that vantage, could we attain it, we’d see– our spacetime would appear flattened. Like a single sculpture, matter in a superposition, every place it ever occupied, our sentience just cycling through our lives like carts on a track. See, everything outside our dimension– that's eternity. Eternity looking down on us. Now to us, it’s a sphere, but to them– it’s a circle."
Can that explain flat earth and how we see it as a sphere but it could actually be flat?
I'm not very technical so maybe someone can give more perspective to what he said

The comparison you just clearly described is:
The fourth dimension perception of a sphere is is like the three dimension perception of a circle.
Looking down and around me I can guarantee you I am a three dimensional being living in a three dimensional world.
The Earth is not a two dimensional circle what the fuck are you talking about.

And If you read further and actually can comprehend things he said other "beings" look at it different because they have a different perspective. Try reading and comprehending

I remember the "time is a flat circle" thing but wasn't into FE at the time. That's interesting. They put all kinds of clues in these shows and movies, from Breaking Bad to the Hunger Games to whiskey commercials.... so many clues about a dome or whatever.
