I don't recall this story. I do recall a story several years ago about 2 kids riding atvs through some caves in the desert and stumbled upon a holographic wall that they passed through. Only to see a large stone statue begin to turn and chase them.

i know nothing of this post but i can confirm the bit about missile silos in kansas. i've lived smack dab in the middle of kansas my entire life and there's a handful of old missile silos around here. one of the biggest LSD producers ever made his kingdom in an old silo just an hour or so away from me. it wouldn't surprise me if there were massive structures underground or even just multiple silos connected.
