Ok so I did my 23andme kit and it was fine. But after that. I went super deep into there terms of service and privacy fine print. And saw that they said, they can send my dna to any 3rd party companies and send my sample over sees to other facilities, without my consent or without notifying me.

Yeah so by using the product you consent to their terms and conditions so you agreed to this. Always read the terms and conditions BEFORE endorsing the contract.

I just don't see why anyone would willingly give their DNA to a random group. DNA material could be used to really screw someone over and sending it to random group who sends it to other random groups is not something I think anyone should feel comfortable about.

It's a shame, a huge database of DNA and other personal info could be hugely beneficial but sadly, I doubt it will be handled responsibly.

I just feel the apathy taking over. I am content to come home, take care of my son, make enough money to survive, and have a little time for myself to watch a movie or play a video game. Don't think I have it in me to have the growth truly needed to make the change I need to.
