The funniest thing about this is that way before anyone knew Trump as a president all of reddit was on that NASA dick saying they don’t get enough funding and how important it is they be max funded and if you were on reddit there were multiple propaganda posts daily with NASA and now those same people are just shitting all over the idea of giving them what they want, it’s fucking crazy shit.

As with most Trump announcements, he did not describe at all what the Space Force would intend to achieve. Most speculate that he is taking an already existing sect of the Air Force and creating a new branch of military with the same responsibilities. What has the space-dedicated department of the Air Force achieved in recent years that people have been clamoring for? I honestly don’t know, but to make a claim that a new Space Force will do what people have been wanting NASA to do is unwarranted without any specifics about the new program. As of now it seems like a shift of responsibility that will end up significantly increasing military spending, unless the Air Force loses funding that originally was allocated to their space program.

A dream of mine is to envision that somehow, the pendulum swinging from good to evil and back swings back t good, and we end up with a space force like Starfleet from Star Trek, where exploration and higher morals trump aggressive wars for resources.

However unlikely, it is a warming idea.

If the Deep State was mostly about financing/securing the SSP and Trump's administration really wants to dismantle this operation transforming the SSP into the "Space Force" would be a logical step.

It would also explain the massive opposition to Trump by all these groups which had their fingers in the trillions of dirty money for decades.

I have heard that it's the Trump administration but I wouldn't count on it but if they wanted to release it the space force would be a good avenue to do it.
