Verizon Wireless

I believe Verizon has strategically hired people that walk and work really slow to push the customer off so that they will call Verizon instead of visiting its stores. This way they can start hiring less workers in an attempt to save money. I was in Verizon for like 2 hours to buy a new phone. During my stay at Verizon Wireless I noticed 3 instances where the customer was told to call the Verizon number to receive the help needed.

They want you out of the in-person business. It's much easier to hide evidence and rip you off on the phone.
Verizon / Comcast / Timewarner / ATT are all the largest companies in the world, do they allow you to manage your accounts online? No you have to CALL to change anything. Why do you think that is? To allow more mistakes to be made, these companies are staying in power to hold jobs, not progress anything productive

I can only speak about ATT but you certainly can change your acct online w/o speaking to anyone , I have done it several times...

What can you change? I have ATT and I'm allowed to change billing and personal info but I can't change my address, relocate service, change packages or anything

Ummm...might say more about you than it does about them.

Not sure what that means. I work in the industry and built the system my company uses that allows customers to adjust their package instantly or schedule for afterhour backups.

I don't think cellphones should cost 1000 dollars either. I'm bout to buy the jitterbug, duck it.

I bought an htc cricket phone for $30 immediately upon not finding a suitable replacement for my htc @ Verizon. Best $30 I spent.

How's the reception with cricket when you travel?

I had Verizon, so it's pretty good. I don't get service where there isn't any. It's a solid phone too. I drop it and get it wet a lot.

Unlimited data. Me and brother and mom are on a data share plan. 15 days into the month we run out of data thanks to my wifi-less brother. The next 15 days are on limp back mode.
1 ichoosejif 2018-08-28
Fk that. I rarely use Wi-Fi. Not sure if it's unlimited, but I use a lot.

I believe that they do that to find out who your carrier is and bully them/you. We had low cost internet because of my child and they came by a couple of times trying to sell faster more expensive internet we never got it but now we got a bill raising our internet by double from our carrier since we spoke to them! I think that they need so many subs to place that 5g crap in any given neighborhood so they are bullying folks to switch to them. I mean they have come here 3 times and spoke to us 2 they KNOW who our carrier is and are trying by hook crook or straight up force to get the switch.

You can change packages online I just did it a week ago!

It's scary, I never want to go in there for anything because I know it'll always be 2 to 4 hours later. You can't even ask questions without it taking an hour.

Last time dude said, "I hope you aren't in a hurry" I said "dude.... I'm next in line, there's 4 people in here... but yeah, I don't come here unless I have all afternoon free." He said, "Man' you ain't neva lied, we slooooow."

I am a store manager for AT&T its not just about that it is mainly sales turn over. There is a reason they have phone technical support if the issue is not related to selling something that day or was sold in the last couple of days it will hurt your numbers as a store if you are spending time trying to fix something that has brought in zero revenue for that location, It is a sales position and sadly a lot of people mistake us for technical support and that is not what we do. So we generally insist customers get Protek support from our insurance company or call into technical support over the phone as this can hurt the stores goals and the representatives chance of getting a commission check,

So just imagine how much more money could be made if it didn't take 20 minutes to put on an otter box and a tempered glass screen protector. Do you ever have anyone flip out in your store? I bet it gets pretty interesting In there.
1 purgecarter 2018-08-28
Yeah I've had customers flip out but not over technical issues. The most issues we get relate to our installers for TV and Internet which verizon should be lucky they dont have to deal with. Lol

The store is a sales location, not a customer service location. Sales only.
1 ConstantBlumpkins 2018-08-28
Why not move faster to increase sales?
1 n1nj4_v5_p1r4t3 2018-08-28
Moving fast does not equal more sales. These arent impulse items, these are things people buy once a year. They shop around, and hasty sales people make the consumer think they are on drugs and not want to spend money there, a lost sale.
1 ConstantBlumpkins 2018-08-28
You don't rush the customer. You find ways to speed up the process which pleases the customer because the customer didn't want to spend 1 hour in line and 30 minutes to buy a phone. Just pick up the pace a little.
1 n1nj4_v5_p1r4t3 2018-08-28
Speed is useful if you have more customers in line waiting. If no one else is waiting, its good to take as much time as necessary, not skipping anything, but obviously not stalling or delaying either.
1 ConstantBlumpkins 2018-08-28
I can agree with that.
