WTH is going on with this airport plague?

1  2018-09-07 by mastigia

So, as of this morning we have several aircraft illness incidents in the last few days. I have 4 listed here, but I believe there are actually 5 if anyone wants to drop a link so I can add it?

French city of Perpignan from Algeria on Wednesday with a child on board suspected of being infected with cholera

An Emirates airline Airbus A380 superjumbo jet was briefly quarantined at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport after numerous passengers fell ill on a flight arriving from Dubai early Wednesda

Several of the sick passengers were returning from pilgrimages to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, on American Airlines flight 755, which originated in Paris

The passengers were on American Airlines flights arriving from Paris and Munich and reported flu-like symptoms like coughing, fever, or vomiting

I have some theories myself about why this may be occurring, but I would like to see what you all come up with as an explanation linking all these events without me pointing you in any certain direction.

Considering you don't appear to even know what plague means I'm not sure you have anything...

Considering what I do for a living, your slide comment is actually hilarious.

Nice call to authority. Tell me about what you do for a living that relates to this and still you utterly misuse and misunderstand what plague means.

Chemist/microbiogist. And fair warning, the ice is thin. Learning how to discuss things without being a huge dick will certainly improve your experience here.

Are you a mod?

Yes. And if this wasn't my thread I would have probably already banned you for the first comment under rule 10. So just chill, and try to treat people with a modicum of respect.

It's like people forgot how to have a convo about stuff without just being a HUGE dick right out of the gate.

It went - 15 within 30sec of me posting the comment, I reported it to the admins. There is a votebot hitting GA recenctly of approx 15 accts, seeing the same behavior here.

This is like amateur hour. Usually they do a much better job of hiding it. And crickets from the admins.

I've noticed it, maybe lifting the vote hiding for a couple days will allow more people to see this in real time and notice the fuckery.

Another odd thing... I was careful to leave any partisan intersections out to avoid the politics vote machines, because I was hoping for an actual conversation about this subject. And we still got vote bots. This is a new threat. Or a different one. Very strange.

It's def a new one.

I think it's a troll with a script using about 15 accounts to do immediate downvotes to certain comments. (Is that possible? I'm not too reddit savvy)

What type of comments? Idk Why? Idk

Very possible. You basically create a simple browser interface that handles multiple sessions, each on their own VPN channel to mask IPs. So it would look like you just have one web browser open, but behind that all these accts slaved to it. So, you downvote a comment, and all the other sessions send the same message to reddit's servers.

Thing is though, I would put a randomized delay on them, so all the votes don't hit at the exact same time and do basically what we saw today: a comment on a brand new post swinging by 15 votes instantly. That is why I called them an amateur and assume they are new.

Yeah I noticed that last night. Positive and contributing comments were down voted to oblivion.

-15 in a few minutes has hit me twice for comments that weren't really divisive or controversial imo, one was talking about the brigading going on

Chemist/microbiogist.

Really? Because a) you can't even spell microbiologist correctly and b) you don't seem very knowledgable about your field of interest.

I have very bad arthritis in my hands and left my stylus at work yesterday. Using a slash negates autocorrect. I'm making a lot of mistakes today, but seriously who fucking cares.

But wtg, thanks for your contribution, friend. Really bringing up the level of discussion here.

I'm sure you knew what he meant but you chose to nit pick anyways.

'He didn't use the ideal word for his title therefore everything he says is worthless'

Typical viewpoint of a product of mainstream "education" (aka, credential-induced Dunning–Kruger)

Funny that you say this, OPs immediate response was to jump to a call to authority vaguely stating "considering what I do for a living".

Nonetheless, we aren't talking about the equivalent of him calling a travelator an escalator by mistake or calling a tomatoe a vegetable.

Plague is a specific bacterial infection, just like gonorrhea or salmonella are. He said the equivalent of saying

What's with all these airport genital herpes

Get it? That is a fundamental misunderstanding of the subject material. When someone misunderstands the subject this much, it is fair to say they are not experienced enough, and lack enough understanding of the subject to be able to make inferences on the subject.

Perhaps the greatest irony of your comment however is the dunning-kruger effect explicitly describes people like OP

What’s funny though, is OP didn’t make any inferences in his post. But you immediately raised your hand to imply he didn’t have the intelligence to speak on the subject. OP laid out the what do you think is going on here, he didn’t say what he thought was happening.

call to authority

Oh. You’re one of those people. LOLOLOL!

Perhaps you are not aware that the word "plague" in the common vernacular equals "any disease outbreak where we don't know the cause yet".

Could be a regional thing, or less common, but used nonetheless.

Could just be propaganda hype for the flu vaccine 👀

Yeah I'm skipping the next shot they'll offer for sure lol

It's a trap!

I worked for a very prominent, military/government connected, DC physician in his semi retirement in Arizona. He told me to never EVER get a flu shot (wouldn't tell me why, but there were lots of things he couldn't tell me about. I had to get security clearance just to be his assistant).

This was around 1990 and I've never gotten one. Never really had the flu either.

Same here, 28 years old. Never had a flu shot in my entire adult life, not sure if I've ever had one as a kid. Since I was an "adult" at 18, I've never had the flu. In fact, I got sick three times from 18-21, so about once per year. I've only been sick once in the last 7 years and that was during a cocaine binge which obviously weakened my immune system. Anyone who gets the flu shot is either idiotic or totally brainwashed.

Got my first one last year, had job at a hospital and they would end my employment if I refused. This was Oct/Nov ‘17.

Yikes, fuck that. I would've refused that job but that's just me.

Do you think the hospital would force you to get a flu shot if you told them you had already gotten one this year from somewhere else?

That's the first excuse that would pop into my head if someone was forcing me to get a shot.

Idk man.. I did ask about going to my dr instead and they wanted documentation of I had gotten one at the VA.

I've got not spleen and gallbladder anymore so to strengthen my immune system I take a flu shot every year, never been sick in the last 9 years.

Anyone who gets the flu shot is either idiotic or totally brainwashed.

Or severely immunocompromised, which changes the risk-reward calculation somewhat.

Of note is that the NHS do NOT routinely recommend flu vaccinations for otherwise healthy adults.

yeah my bio high school teacher who has a phd in immunity told us to never take flu shots, let your body build up immunity by itself as flu evolves so rapidly that taking vaccines is useless

Sounds plausible.

No mentions of flu though, but flu season is coming up for sure.

The 3rd and 4th links have "flu" in the url.

True... I had like 20 browser pages open and was not paying that great of attention here. I was more concerned with the bigger picture and slacked off on the specifics. My bad man

Could be a scare tactic to cut down on travel to those countries or to cause a panic of this years flu season. That can cause more people to go out and get the flu vaxx

We are gearing up for the annual Flu Festival, could very well be just that.

Get your flu shot here! Fresh, hot flu shots here! Get your flu shots, 2 fer 1!

Flu-a-palooza!!!

Groovy man, ya dig where i'm coming from

Let's mix it up at Burning Man...

I'm there!

I'll start putting together silver Baphomet costumes.

It's going to be glorious!

Nobody makes you get a flu shot, so just don't get one. Why do you feel the need to dictate voluntary medical decisions for other people by insuintating they are idiots or plotters?

The only people who get downvoted here in regards to vaccines are people who don't get their understanding of vaccines and disease and contagion and epidemiology from Jim Carey's ex-wife. This post will be down voted to oblivion for that.

Your cavalier attitude is because you have never known disease. You have lived in a world of vaccines and antibiotics and disinfectants. I'm genX. Even though we all had to get our MMR shot to start kindergarten, the vaccine wears off over time. It is meant to dry the well, so you don't need a suit of armor, not provide a suit of armor.

In highschool, a classmate came back from a trip to Switzerland with the measles. He infected 6 of his friends and a baby. He and 3 of his friends ended up dying from measles-induced meningitis, the baby died of meales-induced pneumonia, his three other friends were in the hospital for weeks recovering from measles-induced pneumonia.

As soon as the school was notified, every student, staff, parent, and sibbling was given a booster in a mass vaccination push in the school gym. No one else got sick. No one else died. I had gone to school with those 7 kids since 1st grade. It wasn't a plot, it was Switzerland being an irresponsible asshole. They still are the chief source of measle infections for Americans. Maybe you should go there, test you theories, you've nothing to fear, right?

Measles kills teens, adults, and babies. If I was that man in the hospital in Houston with measels from that crazy Southwest airlines person, I'd already be on the phone to sue for gross negligence and assault, and if he dies, wrongful death. If you gave me measles, I'd make sure your life was a shitty as mine. Tort is the great equalizer.

Woah buddy, simmer down. I’m a genXer myself, although I’m not sure what that has to do with this.

Sorry about your friends measles’s outbreak & loss, death is never easy.

I was not proposing antivaxx. I was merely pointing out the heavy push we see today for vaccinations. When I see billboards all over town pushing the flu shot, I find that to be over the top. The vaccination decision should be up to each individual, I’m not implying anything other than that here.

I had measles when I was younger, had no symptoms other than fancy red dots all over me. It was pretty neat because it meant I didnt have to go to school. Seriously, no symptoms, just a load of non itchy, non painful red spots.. All my friends also had measles... absolutely nobody died or was remotely ill.

Which measles did your friends get? Because it sounds entirely different to what we all had in the UK. I'm Gen X too, but I was born two years before MMR was introduced. I had mumps too, that was not nice.

We are gearing up for the annual Flu Festival, could very well be just that.

Get your flu shot here! Fresh, hot flu shots here! Get your flu shots, 2 fer 1!

Scare tactic for the older crowd. Plus the uptick in pro vaxx articles all over social media.

Tis the season

The downvotes ~ holy shit! O_o

It's stuff like this that really does confirm the presence of the astroturfers and shills. :/

Indeed.

Just wanted to add my local news just did a story on how people should skip the nasal mist and just go straight for the shot this year.

Flu shots only work for around two weeks from the moment they are released. Such is the rapidity of flu mutation. You are unlikely to get flu anyway. In a 10 year period the likelihood is you'll get flu once. I know, you think you had flu last year, because you felt very poorly, had a temperature, sore throat, tired etc and the doctor gave you tamiflu and told you it was the flu.

It wasnt the flu. The doctor peddled some drugs to you because that's how he makes money. You had a cold, go and read the symptoms. Oh and stop being such a wuss.

What?

You must have replied to the wrong person...

Hehehe I'm sorry but they really are amusing sometimes. Have an upvote. There; I helped!

Thank ya kind sir.

What's wrong with the flu vax? Serious question.

It is ineffective and its safety is unproven. Search "flu" here and you will see the real stats.

As opposed to the fake stats.

If it worked 100% then everyone would get the shot and flu would never be talked about. The flu shot is a guess at what this years strain will be.

Another thing is how often does the government give ridiculous money to a non-proven cause? The government does not give 'free' things away unless it benefits them.

It's not a guess at all. It's baaed on statistics.

I haven't seen anything to make me think it's explicitly dangerous. It just has dubious efficacy, but comes with full court press advertising.

It's a big pharma money pump, preying on people's fears, over a sickness that is for the most part just inconvenient.

Flu isn't just inconvenient, it costs the machine money in PTO. They would rather subvert our natural immune system with untested vax than let our immune systems develop properly to keep every human working every single day.

I, Robot. Speaking of, I should go assume my position.

its like the manufacturers pick a number between 1 and 10, and hope nature decides to pick the same number, other wise its useless.

Sadly, this is pretty much how they do it.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/season/vaccine-selection.htm

i looked in to it probably a decade ago when the anti-vax stuff was just gaining traction.

like anything the most vocal usually know the least about what they are talking about so you've got to take it all with a bag of salt.

i will say there are some pretty concerning problems with vaccines and how they are approved. if i have kids i will only be getting them the vaccines that were around when i was a kid, and doing an ass load of research on the rest.

the sheer number they give out now is pretty damn shocking compared to when i was growing up in the 90s

Agree on all points. The best I have been able to suss out of the quagmire of vaccine debate, the best thing to do with your kids is spread the vaccines out. Seems like the incidence of injury was more magnified by the amount taken at one time, or certain ones combined with others, rather than just "vaccines are bad". As always do your own research, but that is at least something to look into if you are interested.

see that is a fair approach, the schedule as it is is pretty bonkers, spreading things out is a good solution.

i think the biggest concern is that the entire schedule has not been actually tested collectively for safety.

That is exactly it. We must have read the same stuff haha. I have more than a passing familiarity with the biochem here too. It is just reckless to stimulate these radical immunoresponses like this. The idea these combination vaccines haven't even been tested together is in...fucking...sane.

I'm a scientist, not some lofty white tower acedemic, but I do it for a living, and have for a long time. I use science. I love science. I test things. I ask questions. Usually, I have a pretty good idea of the outcome, but I still test, and evaluate, and try to improve the quality of my results.

What they are doing is not science. It is witchcraft.

thank you! i think its truly worrisome how quickly some people attack some one when they question vaccine "science"

And it doesn't help when subs like this are littered with titles such as this one "Airport Plague" amagad.... Just fear mongering gone mad. Yeah It is interesting and 100% should be discussed but inflamatory titles such as this is what Pharma want to see. Don't do their dirty work for them

That cdc official who went missing under mysterious circstances and was found dead was reported amd having told people not to get the new flu shot as the cdc was covering up that it was killing people

Src?

Free Google or Amazon consumer spying device with every shot!

A scare to make people get vaccinations?

Well ... there are worse things. Though I suppose this, too, doesnt sit well with me.

It makes me wonder what else they put in those flu vaccines if they go to this length to push them. I've seen them push them hard but this would be over the top.

They are just flu vaccines.. and they help a lot of people.

If a bunch of people are returning to the west from a pilgrimage to mecca it could just be people in the west have different immune systems he'll just moving from one state to another I got a cold like 6 times in the first year and I generally get it once a year. Same when I moved to Germany the first time and when I deployed.

It could just be that. Or it could be something else.

I'm leaning most are just that. But I think the old adage never let a crises go to waste applies. What better way to push flu vacvines than this foreign flu thats made its way here and will infect us all. And you'll probably die. Better get this vaccine. Oh yeah you'll prob die from that too but we wont say anything

Never let a good crisis go to waste, you're on point with that. Everything else is true also, changing regions that quick can def jave a major impact on the human immune system.

Not to mention when traveling your immune system lowers. And the exertion of just standing in line for your turn is more than pretty much any westerner is used to

What about every other year the haajj(sp) has happened?

Show me evidence this doesn't happen every year.

What if this is a way to start wiping out people. First wave, the one's not immunized. Creating stronger strains; effectively a death sentence. Takes out most illegals and antivaxers.

I doubt anything arises from this incident. But I do see something like what you said way into the future

I don't know what's going on but a common theme with these are that they were coming from or in Europe.

I like monkeys.

BUT NOT TWELVE OF THEM

But they're so cute!

Not if they are carrying some mystery super flu that incubates in a few hours.

OR TWELVE MYSTERY SUPER FLUS

GDI, Wile! Why must you ruin my monkeys with your stupid super flus. I can't have dang thing.

incubates

That word just tells you its bad news rising.

Are you confusing Twelve Monkeys with 28 Days Later?

I'd watch 28 Monkeys Later

There's my little Buckley

OK Alice ;)

What if its 12 flying monkeys?

Out of my butt??

That's racist!

Apes in heels?

The monkeys were framed!

The main theme is actually all the flights had customers coming from the middle east. Likely returning from the pilgrimage

Algeria, and France has many Algerians bc colonialism

12 monkeys really creeped me out

I'm not nitpicking though. It's like saying

What's going on with this airport genital herpes?

Or

What's going on with this airport measles

I pointed it out to highlight the fact OP is clearly not knowledgeable in healthcare, especially communicable infection. Any inference OP makes is thus coming from someone lacking the basic skills and knowledge to make those inference.

Any thoughts or theories about what's causing the illnesses in the plane or will you keep nitpicking the OP? You're trying to 'shoot the messenger'.

"omg, honey, look at the news! You know those vaccines we've putting off? I think it's time to make an appointment!"

Also, don't be surprised if they're trying to put in place a blood test before flight requirement. The cost will be tacked onto your ticket price. It'll open another door for collecting everyone's DNA and will create an opportunity to detain & quarantine threats to their power structure based on 'uncertain test results'.

Holy crap, that is a terrifying thought.

At least the blood test would only be for planes. Plane travel is already terribly violating, and I prefer not to use it for this reason.

I haven’t flown in probably 10 years. It’s more the idea of getting in a sealed tube with a bunch of god knows what that I’m not a fan of. Cooties, crazies, screaming children, no thank you.

If we weren't living in 1985 I'd dismiss this outright, but you make an astute observation.

1985? There's a sequel?

Yes. It's called 2018.

This actually makes sense...

No it doesn't. Taking blood from passengers before they fly wouldn't help stop flus or sicknesses like he's talking about.

That wouldn't be point of taking the blood samples.

But your scenario has them selling it that way to the public.

News flash homey, the stated public reasons for doing things, and the real reason for doing things, are often not the same.

This is an interesting thought but probably not how population-wide DNA scans will be implemented. Just my opinion.

There is no blood test that I am aware of that can test if you sick with an acute illness. You can do targeted tests, and some bugs you can find very early on, but if you want a quick "catch-all" then I don't think we have it.

DNA databases are being constructed by collating data from genetic analysis companies like 23andme as well as from routine collection from prisoners. This will suffice to scan a fairly large segment of the population, enough to identify a person by family relationship if not direct match.

Meanwhile, the technology to actually perform checkpoint DNA identification is being developed by the military for use in active warzones.

Eventually that technology will be implemented in domestic policing, then combined with the domestic databases that are being assembled now. It will be integrated into a biometric identification system such as that being piloted by the TSA precheck program for rapid identification, with secondary sidelining of anyone not in the system for DNA analysis and identity verification.

Can’t we just use the rick and Mitty system where we just sedate everyone into a peaceful state for the entire flight

have you checked your airplane "taxes and fees" bill? Theres a 9/11 tax, and way more bullshit taxes. They dont need a blood test to increase cost.

Shhhhh, stop giving them ideas!

I'm not sure what's going on with it but I know for a fact Vanilla Ice is involved.

Oh yeah he is

If you got disease, yo I’ll spread it, Give you upvoted posts, On the front page of Reddit...

Vanilla Hives, Hives, baby... Too itchy, too itchy...

Stop

Contaminate and listen Infections back with more people to sicken

who doesn't love a vanilla ice reference

who doesn't love a vanilla ice reference

Nerve. Gas. Baby

Dumdumdumdumdadadumdum

ILLNESS grabs a hold of me quickly. Rode on an airplane and now I feel sickly.

That's why I'm not worried. He'll solve it.

Mostly unrelated but hearing about vanilla ice on the news related to this story brought back a memory of my own. lol When I was 15 and about to board a flight to England for a family trip, my bf and I saw vanilla ice getting on a different flight next to us. It was 99 and right after he tried going metal and had an MTV special where spazzed out and tore up the set. So we were excited to spot him, but too scared to approach him for an autograph

Any of these passengers been through Denver International Airport recently?

Don't say things like that. I just flew through there.

Or it could just be that people are disgusting.

Everyone except you.

The more I read about this, the more it sounds like a prelude to a Tom Clancy plot. Rainbow Six, anyone?

I was thinking more like Condor with the mecca angle.

Yeah, that seemed like a VERY possible plot. I mean, Tom and other fiction writers dont make this shit up, they talk to the people whos job it is to research and prevent and control public dangers about what risks they are worried about, and then let their imagination go wild

Yes, like the Jack Ryan TV series is serving as predictive programming

I haven't finished it yet but I feel like the hostage Americans the dude has are going to be weaponized and sent on airplanes.

I have 2 episodes remaining and I thought exactly the same. Now I gotta finish it fast before I come back to discover any possible spoilers.

The Division (❤️)

Holy shit...it just kinda clicked with me that The Division is basically an alternate timeline Rainbow 6 where they don't stop a viral attack.

That central zone is fucking impossible haha just walking around and then BAM, your done.

Think of DS assault (deflection - instead of unraveling of DS set-up of Trump via Steele Dossier and direct Hussein WH involvement, attempt to distract public with importation of plague). Change the narrative.

Testing how to incapacitate the pilots with a stronger burst through the the aircon.. /s

Something is going down in Mecca and it’s starting to spread.

what?

The Haaj (mass pilgrimage to Mecca) began on August 19. Millions of people from every country convened in one city in close quarters. It’s believed that there was some sort of flu outbreak this year and that’s why so many of these flights are getting this sickness.

Oh wow, nice observation dude.

Hi! Do you have a link to this story?

Yes, 6th grade humanities. Unless they only did it that year, and not every year before and after. Weird.

That makes a lot of sense.

I was wondering if these people were at somewhere in common.

Every flight does indeed appear to have customers traveling from the ME.

Start of a bad zombie movie? Lol. In all seriousness though this certainly is interesting. We shall see if it continues.

terror against whom by whom?

If you check my history you will see I'm a pretty staunch Q follower. What if there have been bad guys on those planes and this "flu" was actually the white hats using a non-toxic irritant that causes flu-like symptoms in order to make arrests under the guise of taking people to the hospital for a "CDC crisis"? It's a pretty decent ruse when you think about it.

Guess we will have to wait and see, would be possible I guess but can't trump arrest people the regular way?

Whether Trump can arrest people is beside the point. If you wanted to arrest people and have it not make the MSM and cause panic, this is a brilliant way of going about it.

It's not very brilliant to announce to the world that a flying tube of 140 people is being detained when everyone has a phone these says and presumably someone well-known was going to disappear from that tube.

HIPPA laws are pretty powerful and so is Obama's EO that allows for detention and quarantine if the CDC thinks you are risk.

HIPAA laws don't matter if you were just chatting with a well-known politician or celebrity for hours on an transatlantic flight and they just disappear and never return. Someone would have noticed and had their removal from the plane on video.

Are you saying HIPAA laws would be ineffectual in the hypothetical scenario I offered?

HIPPA restrains health professionals, etc. If you see someone get sick or whatever, and you have nothing to do with their treatment, HIPPA doesn't stop you from saying anything.

I understand how HIPPA works. I imagine that in a CDC crisis it prohibits the airline from releasing flight logs for instance. The "arrested people" in my scenario don't necessarily have to be symptomatic nor well-known either.

Like extraordinary rendition? I was considering that as well. Or they got a very solid lead on a serious terrorist attack, which did not fit well enough into their plans to let it proceed. And it is such a bad threat, they would rather have people think it was a global pandemic o.o

Because what is the actual negative of a FF global flu pandemic? People walk around with silly surgeon's masks and use too much hand sanitizer?

I'll take that over a FF Soros-paid Antifa French Revolution, lol.

So Q followers basically just take whatever happens and apply 'then the opposite must be true!' Philosophy to everything? How can you even trust each other? What if the dude beside you at a rally is really a paid Soros operative that's misting you guys with nanotechnology viruses to make you into transvestite communists? You never know.

So Q followers basically just take whatever happens and apply 'then the opposite must be true!' Philosophy to everything?

Source for that?

this is a straight up coordinated attempt at biological warfare. the scary part will be what happens to these people after the incubation period is over and whatever got em on the plane actually kicks in.

Or... a natural biological event. Nature has done this before all by herself, with devastating consequences.

I just started playing last of us this week...

Not sure if this is related, but I was on a flight from San Diego on Tuesday that got cancelled. We had backed away from our gate and were taxiing out to the queue to take off when we stopped. After about 15 minutes they said they were trying to debug a problem. A few minutes later said crew members were feeling sick and we were taken back to the gate and immediately deplaned. In the jetway as we were leaving were some sort of incident response team with paramedics, Alaska airline exec and a half dozen totally militarized TSA agents in full gear. One passenger had air administered to him behind the gate agents. The door to the jet way was closed off and guarded by a TSA agent. We were eventually told it was a mechanical problem.

Near as passengers could tell, there was a smell that made some people sick and they brought us back and cancelled the flight. I didn't see anything mentioned in the news. Who knows what we were potentially exposed to. No seemed to be worrying about all the passengers that got off.

I'm officially creeped out.

Me too. I fly every week for work.

Sounds like you're creeper out by everything

Thank you for your contribution.

High quality analysis right there.

This seems to be a common theme, one of the other cases I read about described a smell "like moldy socks" followed by sudden flu like symptoms.

Source for the "moldy socks" ... interesting.

This was the one I was thinking of, sorry they said "dirty socks" I misremembered. https://www.ajc.com/news/national/dirty-sock-odor-sickens-passengers-spirit-airlines-flight/rtziNdf0te6XDpvFDpnAQK/

Holy shit, I read about it. Actually, the man died, he had some kind of "infection". Source (in spanish, if I find one in english I'll update this comment) https://www.24horas.cl/tendencias/redessociales/pasajero-ruso-que-obligo-a-detener-un-avion-por-su-mal-olor-murio-producto-de-una-infeccion-2751821

Sounds like a bio-weapon to me.

Could someone be testing a biological weapon on airplanes? Something strong enough to have a particular effect, yet mild enough to not cause serious harm or death? Yes it sounds far fetched, but some of the crazy things going on on the planet nowadays, I wouldn't even sign that off as a possibility.

It sounds more like a chemical weapon than a biological weapon. There's no virus in the world that can act so quickly, not even an engineered one. It's physically impossible. There are on the other hand numerous chemicals that can cause all kinds of biological responses, including flu-like symptoms.

Nerve agents in mild doses cause similar symptoms.

That being said, engineered strains of already virulent microbial material (not necessarily the whole organism; could be viral nucleocapsids or exogenous mycotoxins) are perfectly capable of causing almost immediate (and sometimes severe) anaphylactic reactions in the victim at the point of exposure. The efficacy of these superantigens depends on several factors including dosage, the victim's genotype, and the victim's immunologic susceptibility.

Sounds to me like coordinated targeting.

Like the subway incident in Japan when their dispersal method was puntcuring a bag of a bioweapon. That was more of a violent response.

Someone with access to aircrafts are probably dispersing it through the AC or releasing it as one of the passangers/staff.

Either to send a message, perpetuating the terrorism status quo or to get some kind of political leverage in hurting air transportaiton and people. The bad part is the chemical and the persons are getting passed security points.

It's not going to be on the news because then nobody would fly and it kill the air industry.

How the fuck would you know?

or perhaps the serious symptoms take a few days to incubate

What about outside the plane at certain altitudes. Perhaps it came in from outside while in flight?

We should ask that reporter who works for CNN who is able to smell undetectable gasses on backpacks like Sarin gas to tell us what happened. Remember that? Pepperidge Farms remembers.

I bet they got intelligence of some kind of bio attack and are now being extra cautious and stopping flights they wouldn't have stopped before in the past.

What was the flight number and airline?

Alaska 1143

Alaska 1143

Next time it flies is 9/11, of course...

Well, that’s a coincidence lol

Wtf, hella weird. I go to SDSU and meningitis is going around. Wonder if coincidence or not.

San Diego? Yikes, I am pretty close to there...

I'm really interested in this now. I looked up the flight you mentioned, and it seems to fly once a week on Tuesdays except it didn't fly last Tuesday which matches your story. Being in San Diego, I also didn't hear anything about it on the news.

It was the SD to Seattle that leaves at around 5:30pm.

I'm thinking Alaska didn't want any publicity after that stolen plane/crash incident from a few weeks ago.

I can't believe that plane crash wasn't a bigger story. I'm in the SW USA and hardly saw any coverage of it. Like, a dude fucking stole a commerical plane, flew it for a couple hours, and CRASHED IT. How is that not news?!

Carbon Monoxide?

Fwiw I have twice been on flights where we had to wait for a new plane because of a bad odor on the previous one. Dirty old planes?

Doesnt it make sense that travel hubs would be massive vectors for the spread of disease? Where else would be more likely?

You are correct that they are do spread infectious diseases. The difference is most diseases are not noticed so quickly.

Let's say your at the mall and get a cold virus at noon. You feel sluggish that evening and wake up the next day feeling like you didn't sleep at all. You make it through the day feeling like you have to cough all the time. You continuously wake up the next night coughing and restless. ---- This is how most infectious diseases occur.

Yes. Many diseases can be spread before and after symptoms are felt, and places where large groups of people are confined together and meet others from all over the world are a dream situation for an infectious disease to spread

As John Podesta stated on the 5 of September the sleeper cells have awoken this is simply a biological attack by the deep state so you look away.

His twitter page.

Theres also another tweet by James Comey alluding to sleeper cells activated. He doesnt say it outright, but once the tweet is decoded, its clear what he is talking about.

I seen that to fucking traitors need to swing.

Came here looking for this. James Woods who was able to predict the 9/11 attack as he came face to face with four of the terrorists on a dry run the month before on his flight (!) thinks something is going on here as well...

https://i.redd.it/7so3mvs89uk11.png

What if that plane that went missing was the dry run? Whatever biological agent they were trying was too strong / killed too quickly, so they had to make one with a longer incubation period and that's what we're seeing now.

Concur : Re, statement above.

Where’s the stuff about the 9/11 dry run? Just interested as I haven’t seen that before.

Here you go. There's more if you Google "James Woods 9/11 dry run."

130 comments and only 80 karma at 81% upvoted? Strange.

My theory: MERS outbreak. Maybe the talking heads don't want to appear islamophobic. You do have four "mainstream" sources right in your post, so some it's getting some attention (misrepresentation).

Never seen the media miss a chance to instill panic though. And while this has been covered, it is page 6'ed. Just odd to me. Look at Ebola. That was across the ocean and relatively isolated to one or 2 countries, and that is all we heard about for weeks. And then there was a massive kerfuffle about one of our doctors being flown back here to be treated.

Here we have the makings of a serious pandemic, and it's like pass the salt.

MERS?

Muslim Extreme Radicalist Syndrome-you become such a fanatic you froth at the mouth and become mentally sick.

5 flights out of around 50,000 per day doesn't seem like much of a plague.

Planes hold over 100 people. Get them sick and they come in contact with say 3 people, so on and so forth. Just keeps spreading and spreading. If it had a slow incubation phase but a fast sickness stage you have have literally millions people getting sick at once with who knows what while people are still getting infected.

I remember flying in the 80s as kid. Just after you landed the crew walked up and down with aerosol sprays going nuts with them like a bug bomb

This procedure still exists on many Asia-based flights. I should ask for the bottle to see the ingredients.

2 personal thoughts-got close family flying lately(including a baby), so this is a bit worrisome of it's actually serious

I live in a fairly isolated area outside the US with local farms and water resevoirs. So at least I could watch the apocalypse peacefully

Oh shit. Wonder why it took so long for this to come up lol?

Cholera isn't really communicable, which doesn't explain the quarantine-like measures. But, unknown pathogens probably initiate some kind of protocol designed to capture anything before it gets loose. And 2 of these flights were on UAE flights. Not sure how easy it is to travel from Yemen > USA, but this is a good Occams Razor.

Yemen > USA

It's easy enough. As long as there's an airport in Yemen, there will always be those turbo prop puddle jumpers into larger cities that fly to/from the US.

Cholera is not an airborne disease.

It is transmitted by water contaminated with the bodily fluids of a sick person, or direct contact with those fluids. It can be transmitted by food that has been exposed to the fluids as well.

It does not travel well. The latency period is 1-2 days and the sick person is completely immobilized by non-stop diarrhea and vomiting. Cholera doesn't look like anything but Cholera.

Interesting, I think it has to do with airlines not properly sanitizing their planes which is against the law.

Hajj is just a catastrophe waiting to happen. All those people in close quarters from all over the world could be the perfect carriers for a new virus mutation.

Right? I never thought about it before. That is the ideal spot to drop a bioweapon. I wonder if that was what SA got all pissed at Canada about?

Doesn't even have to be a bioweapon - it's just a great way to spread disease.

A bioweapon is just any infectious agent used maliciously. Smallpox blankets slung from catapults are bioweapon, ya know?

Yup - but it doesn't require malicious intent.

This is what you get when you let unwashed, third world masses into your countries. Get used to it.

There's the response I was expecting.

Unsure if it relates too but apparently some family came from overseas to Australia with a kid with measles or some other disease we vax for.

Maybe it will be blamed on Iran and used as an excuse to attack.

Imagine Iran releasing a bioweapon in Mecca. That'd rile up the Saudis and serve as the perfect Jihadist pretext to bomb the crap out of Tehran.

Mecca is sacred to Iran too, they would not do this.

These are EXACTLY the threads I have been taking about. Take the news that is "out there", stick it in a mega thread, and we have a perfect place to discuss things without being fragmented.

Now, have you heard about the quite recent pesticide system they have introduced on planes? They saturate the air with a mist that supposedly is to kill bugs. The problem with any pesticide is that it's poison. Low enough concentration not to affect humans they say. Harmless. Until you stick them on a plane for 12 hours and just so happen to dial up the pesticide system just a bit more. Maybe someone saw some cockroaches and dosed the plane once too often?

What are done common side effects of pesticide poisoning?

Headache, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, restlessness, nervousness, perspiration, nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, loss of weight, thirst, moodiness, soreness in joints, skin irritation, eye irritation, irritation of the nose and throat.

Sound familiar?

Do you know what pesticide? Do you have a source?

https://www.transportation.gov/airconsumer/spray

I guess each airline and country has their own preferred brand of pesticides/insecticides. I'm guessing D-Phenothrin, Permethrin or similar.

Thanks

Indian family was kicked off a flight in Canada when the little girl vomitted because she smelt something disgusting in the bathroom. Behind closed doors.!!!! This happened one year ago in September 2017.

https://www.google.gr/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.4815089

I recently flew overseas and as we exited the airplane a teenage boy began projectile vomiting on the ramp. When we returned from our trip some people in our group were sick on the plane and had to throw up mid-flight. When we were all back in the USA they remained sick for about 2 days before feeling fine again.

I'm not stating this was by any means the same thing but figured I'd give a first hand account of my recent experience while traveling. Many people were just outright sick on the planes - sneezing, coughing, vomiting, and so on. Perhaps the germs on on the airplanes themselves and spreading the same stuff.

Thanks for sharing. Can I ask where from and to you were flying?

USA -> Southeast Asia and back

Thanks man. Hmm, measles? That would help the vaxxer's cause. I am of course treating this like there is an angle to all of this. Obviously 5 planes could randomly come down with biological problems in a week.

Measles outbreak would be really bad news. Especially if some of the reports are true that the vaccine is sometimes ineffective. It would explain why they are being relatively quiet too.

I wish we had passenger manifests and 30 day travel histories for all the people on these flights. Bust out the tin foil, yarn, and cork board and do this old school haha.

Never leaves the airport. Who does that?

A mule.

Methinks the chemtrail device sprung a leak.

Cholera has been an issue is Yemen for the past few years.

Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime debuted recently as well and focused on bioterrorism. A little something to aid in desensitizing

curious topic but I really don't think it needs to be at the top of /r/conspiracy... why pinned?

Because it is current and strange, and the media isn't giving it much coverage. Wasn't my idea haha. My poor mailbox.

Because it is a great way to keep a news topic in conspiracy without fragmenting it or taking away from actual conspiracies.

Megathreads are the way to go for news and daily politics. Sticky it to keep it from being vote brigaded. And it also keeps it from falling due to Reddit algorithms when upvotes end, but the topic is still fresh.

my take on it is there are much more pressing things going on in our world than a couple of grounded aeroplanes.

Nothing better specifically the past couple of days perhaps.

This is news, with maybe a conspiracy tone to it. Instead of flooding r/conspiracy with a lot of topics with random thoughts and links, why not keep them all focused in one place? With all the info in one place we can pick through it and easier combine different viewpoints and perhaps deduce what is going on - and do it much faster than we otherwise could if the topic was fragmented across dozens of threads.

Also, if it was a few planes only... nothng much to say. But I think we have 8 planes already that have been grounded, quarantined with people getting (seriously) ill. We are talking about thousands of passengers that have been exposed to something with hundreds falling ill and barely a peep from anyone that should answer the questions.

*WTF the word is FUCK!

Resident Evil: Degeneration.

Hardville Airport.

2008.

They made that tweet that looked like a plane flying into a tower in Montreal? I didn't believe that story at the time, and I don't now, but it's a curious piece of info.

Oh I'd believe it alright

I forget the post, but @entylawyer posted on his blog that a "church" that has a big compound overseas has been creating a biological weapon for unknown reasons. Says the church is big in human trafficking & other things and that's why the government(either asian or african) are looking the other way since they're paid off in the right way.

Church could mean Scientology, but there's also a Christian church that's big with celebrities that's rumored to have a lot of female concubine type action for big donors.

NXVIM?

I dunno, they make such a fuss about Ebola, but until I see it spread somewhere outside Africa, I'm going to consider it fearporn. The more so because it gets so much attention and this doesn't, something directly affecting our country.

Afternoon all ... very, very new to this 'reddit' notion so apologies up-front if this is in the 'wrong place'.

Just I noticed this as I was looking at the news, thought it might be pertinent to this conversation ....

"A British man has died after needing medical attention on a flight to Ibiza.

The Jet2 flight from Manchester diverted to Toulouse on Saturday evening due to the medical emergency."

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/sep/09/british-man-dies-medical-emergency-plane-ibiza

Without more information it's difficult to say if that is similar or not. An ostensibly-healthy friend of mine died of an previously undiagnosed heart condition on a flight a few years ago, and the reporting was pretty much the same. These things happen.

What if some kind of drug is being worked on which can turn folks into 'Zombie Plane Hi-jackers' - and all these 'illnesses' are trying to refine a delivery system?

As I mentioned earlier here, a gentleman passed away on a flight ... https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/sep/09/british-man-dies-medical-emergency-plane-ibiza

But I've also noticed a Qantas non-stop Australia to London flight was turned back after a passenger became 'hyper-aggressive like a cornered animal'

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/qantas-nonstop-australia-to-london-flight-turns-back-after-passenger-became-hyperaggressive-like-a-a3931111.html

Totally understand and empathise that a long haul flight can be hellish on the mind, but this flight was returned to Perth just two hours into the 17-hour flight.

I would suggest just two hours on a plane is a relative short time to make someone, 'hyper aggressive, like a cornered animal'.

Yes, if a person was real scared of flying I can see it - but if a person was just that scared of flying why would they jump on a 17hr flight?

Very interesting. I remember reading somewhere the other day planes are bei g sprayed with a toxic sanitizer between flights, and the user was suggesting this might be making people ill.

He probably took something like ambien or a benzodizapine to help with his anxiety and some people go absoultly mental on Ambien, especially if he took 20mgs or more.. So yes, I can see it happening if he was under the influence of ambien or a benzo.

bleed air can cause sickness

This is the most likely cause and they won't tell us so we dont sue the s Already subsidized airlines

I have read about that before. My question would be why the sudden spate of incidents?

This is what happens when people don't vaccinate

100 people just found sick on a plane carrying 500 from Auckland to Melbourne. The rest were screened and released. This is getting weird.

Whoa. And the media still isn't connecting these things together under screaming headlines?

Curiouser and curiouser.

Half of the people at my work is home sick from the flu today.

Where at?

Someones emotional support pig shat up the plane.

I loled.

Could be a trial run by a group (govt? Isis?) seeing how effective their dispersal system is before they use a chemical weapons. It would be a safe an effective way of testing a dispersal device.

u/gazertwinkle

Quoting from article ...

"The pilot made the decision to alert the New Zealand Ministry of Health as a precautionary measure to check the health of some passengers who felt unwell ...

.... appeared that a significant number of people on the flight had returned from a pilgrimage to the Hajj where earlier in the week there was an outbreak of influenza.

Earlier, a Virgin spokeswoman said ''quite a few'' of the 157 passengers on board the flight from Melbourne began feeling ''quite unwell''.

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12122644

But they're so cute!

What if its 12 flying monkeys?
