Public transit is communism
1 2018-09-13 by ElonBitcoin420
People who advocate for subsidizing public transit more in America are a threat to the American way of life. This is just the way of giving the state more of our hard-earned tax dollars. Who agrees? I find that most people who use/advocate for public transit are communists or some other rotten flavor of collectivist.

Yeah, roads too!

No. Roads are needed for cars, and cars are the realization of American individualism. Americans are much more free with cars than with shitty, government-run public transit.

We need to go back to dirt roads though, because paved roads were a socialized program to make it easier for cyclists to travel while cars still weren’t super common.

I'm pretty sure that isn't true.

Weirdly, it is.

Guess you're too young to remember the Highway Wars 3 Highways, an interstate, and 3 rail lines chopped my neighborhood in to crazy pieces. The pedestrian bridge they gave us, fell on the highway and killed some people, but still no new bridge after decades.

Henry Ford played you good

You know what else is communism? Roads.

Nah. Roads are needed for cars. Cars are a realization of American individualism and American suburbia. No real American wants to live in a sh!tty run-down deep blue city run by criminal pedophiles.

Well you better privatize them really quickly then, because right now the US road system is fully communist/socialist.

Not fully. We have toll roads. It’s mostly socialist.

Yes, because the private rich people use the public transit so much....
1 Jonnymoxie 2018-09-13
No. Public transit is a necessity for many. And if it were better, a lot of us would be using it much more frequently. I think you may wish to do some further reading on the subject and/or speak with people who either can't afford the "American Way" or live in places where public transit benefits the taxpayer.

I see both of your points. But from a slightly different angle, private vehicles are an individual freedom of sorts. The closest thing we have now to a horse that can take out freely out onto the plains. The push for self-driving cars and “smart cities,” combined with staged vehicular terrorist attacks, could be an effort to undermine this individual freedom.

Some trolls are very good and we believe them. Others, well they are not so good.

Well I guess because you say it's communist/socialist it is therefore bad. I would not agree with that statement. If done correctly I'm sure it could be more useful then it is.
Since this is not the case in North America at least. I would advise any young person growing up to not fall into the public transit trap as a means for transportation and instead invest in getting one's license and a personal vehicle. I'm sure that the rate of pay for a worker with a personal vehicle and or driver's license is more on average than one who does not have.

That would be an interesting metric to chase down.

I think the bigger problem is that agriculture is slavery; horticulture is cruel and unusual punishment.

Even the paleoconservatives knew better than to push this neoliberal/randist shit. You remember when Free Congress Foundation published such anti-communist tracks like 'Bring Back the Streetcars!"? It included such doozies like:

Yeah Fuck transport!! Fuck da police, fuck NASA, fuck roads, fuck airports, fuck teachers, fuck military and most of all fuck government commie bastards leeching off the taxes !!

Interestingly, when you force collectivism on people, they become unnaturally selfish and egoistic. When people are free to live as individual sovereigns, they are altruistic and generous.
Public transportation in Mumbai, India.
More. And funny.
1 ElonBitcoin420 2018-09-13
Agreed. American road traffic is some of the most altruistic and virtuous traffic I've experienced.

You ignorance is a threat to the way of life.
