Equality is a Marxist myth.

1  2018-10-06 by RMFN

If men and women are equal then feminists (Marxists) would be arguing that men have equal say to whether to abort a child or not.

Saying its a woman's choice is fundamentally unequal.

Find the contradiction. Find the lie.

While the sperm contributes to the creation of a zygote, the man has no part beyond that in hosting a fetus. This is not a conspiracy.

Ah so then I'm right, equality is a myth.

How so?

You just said how. Women play a more fundamental role in the creation of more humans.

In many aspects, equality is achievable. I feel like you're trying to create an argument out of something that's obvious.

Equality doesn't exist because it hasn't been defined.

Are you on crack?

e·qual·i·ty

əˈkwälədē/

noun

the state of being equal, especially in status, rights, and opportunities.

"an organization aiming to promote racial equality"

synonyms:fairness, equal rights, equal opportunities, equity, egalitarianism; More

MATHEMATICS

a symbolic expression of the fact that two quantities are equal; an equation.

plural noun: equalities

It's definitely been defined... I am going to assume your issue is that "feminism" of today has changed it's meaning over many years, and because you disagree with the point of views, you whine on Reddit and call equality a conspiracy...

Do men have the equal opportunity to get an abortion?

Men cannot get an abortion because the don't bear children. You cannot get a haircut if you are bald, you cannot get rid of something you don't have.

Thus equality has been proven false.

The problem is that so many Marxist want equal outcomes, which means handicapping one group and giving advantages to the other.

Or they point to inequal outcomes and ascribe inequal opportunities as the one and only reason for that inequality of outcome. First accept that these inequalities are typically compound problems, involving cultural, biological, and societal elements and we can then have a constructive, solution-driven discussion on how best to proceed.

Who said equality has anything to do with child bearing?

Does your dick make you equal to Condoleezza Rice?

Feminism is about equality is it not?

Feminism is about political and economic equality and that would include access to education.

All the rest is made up by men who don't want to compete with women for a job or political office or diploma.

Abortion has nothing to do with feminism now?

I didn't say that but it is not the motivation for the movement.

2hat about men who only want to compete with women for jobs?

I said men don't like competing against women for work so make up all kinds of stories to keep them out of the better paying jobs.

Like which better pying jobs do men conspire to keep women out of.

And never m ind that some men can't perform those jobs either.

O I thought everything was supposed to be equal? Now it's not?

No that is your claim, I stick to economic and political equality.

You are fighting a war of your own creation.

How is equality achieved?

You don't want equality and I am only interested in economic and political equality and that has to include education, for all, not just women.

So now you get to decide what equity is about?

You don't tell us what you mean, I have said what I think feminism is about, equal opportunity and pay, political equality and of course the education needed for that.

I haven't been shy about what I think but you are.

don't be daft, wrap your shaft

And this is relevant how?

If you want to end abortions stop impregnating women. See how easy that is?

If you want to end abortions stop impregnating women. See how easy that is?

That logic tho.

Lol wat

Maybe so, but to a brainwashed marxist making a factual change doesn't matter what matters is defending the ideal itself. Have you seen how people make fun of conspiracy theorists for example, but defend actual conspiracy theories "approved" by the government?

Sorry I believe in merit. Not all people are just equal based on existing. People are weighed by their deeds.

Men and women are equal in the sense that they are all sentient autonomous beings entitled to inherent rights. To pretend they are equal in pregnancy is just asinine. Step up your game, RMFN, your trolling is usually better than this.

If they aren't equal in one thing then they are not equal at all.

So the strong take what they will, and the weak suffer what they must? Nobody is precisely physically equal to anyone else, but might makes right is one hell of a moral code.

Because everyone who is a feminist must be marxist.

They are related.

In the sense that they are both critical theories yes, but your conflation doesn't make the biggest amount of sense.

people have sovereignty over their own body. this is sort of an obvious reality, some might even call it a natural law. that sovereignty might include taking herbs and plants to abort a fetus. is what it is.

Good luck getting your point across. I get where you're coming from but there's a reason why they changed the term from equality to equity.

For the person who's saying they want political and economic equality please show me where that's not present in the US. The answer is not such and such are underrepresented because that has nothing to do with political or economic opportunity. It's fairly obvious there is equality of opportunity. What the US lacks is equality of opinion.

Our opinions are worth the same just based on the fact we're humans. So I'm sorry if you're upset that I have an opinion about abortion because of my genitalia but that is about as unequal and discriminatory as you can be.

Equality is a myth because humans are inherently unequal. LeBron James will always be a better basketball player than me and there's nothing I can do about it. There's always going to be people smarter than me and I'm not going to take away their strengths just to be equal. But that's what people are asking for. It's absolutely unrealistic and will never happen.

Why are you posting this in this sub? This is philosophy or maybe poli-sci.

I'm a fan of egalitarianism aka equality.

I don't give a fuck about Marxism or any of that stuff.

I don't think that i'm better or worse than anyone else. As a Canadian citizen, our laws basically say that every single person has the same rights. That's all equality really means.

The US especially doesn't promote equality via the individual. The US pushes collectivism which isn't about the individual, it's about the group.

By making everything 'tribal', there is no such thing as equality. It's all political grandstanding and exploiting members of these various groups.

OP is out to get Marxists and Feminists. This is due to the exploitative manipulation of these collectivized groups.

Me personally, i'm all for equal rights. I don't like feminism nowadays because it's been subversively changed to be caustic but I support the values. I know a lot of great women who are mentally stronger than a lot of guys. It'd be stupid to not consider them equals.

Consider it differently. Imagine yourself as a grey blob. You aren't black or white or male or female or rich or poor or anything else. You live in a shared society with a bunch of other people who are also grey blobs. There's nothing indistinguishable.

You all should have the same rights. It doesn't matter if someone is wealthier or more famous or better liked or anything else. If you're at the bottom, you still deserve the same rights and treatment as someone at the top.

Growing up poor, rights and attitude are one way I learned to respect myself and not be belittled by other people who think they're better than me. Fuck those guys.

OP thinks 'Marxists' run the system. That's retarded. For the US, it's a Capitalist country and run by rich people. They push this idea that socialism is the same as communism and a part of Marxist bullshit because they don't want poor people realizing that they have rights and that if you unite and work together, it scares the fuck out of the upper class.

They are equal in the sense that both have autonomy. As individuals they have equal say regarding decisions about there own selves. No adult should have to consult with another adult for decisions regarding their own health.

Bodily agency. The woman is carrying the child. It’s in her body. As such, it’s her choice. Not that hard.

Bodily agency. The woman is carrying the child. It’s in her body. As such, it’s her choice. Not that hard.

But the genetic makeup is equally if both men and women.

Literally no one is saying that men and women are genetically equal.

If they aren't equal in one thing then they are not equal at all.

Like which better pying jobs do men conspire to keep women out of.
