Best cell phone for privacy and security
1 2018-10-11 by WokenPhoenix17
Hey my fellow truthers. Does anyone know the best cell phone to get for privacy and security? It just came out how China inserted chips into Apple phones during the manufacturing process, so apple is compromised. But so are so many other electronic devices manufactured in China.

How about no cell phone? I cancelled my cell service last year. Ain’t dead, or even inconvenienced yet!

The thought of that is scary to be honest as a young man working in the technology industry. Easiest way to have information at your fingertips.

You have WiFi at home and at work, right? Most restaurants, groceries stores have WiFi too. That’s what I do.

True but I don’t have WiFi with me in my car or when I’m not at home. Connecting to public WiFi is a good way to get your info stolen

Whenever you have a quick question for google or want to contact a friend/loved one, or navigate using gps on a good mobile app, playing personalized music playlists, browsing the internet in any way, etc..

Download your music. If your question is that important it can wait 20 mins till you have internet again. You can download maps to use if you have no cell signal too. I know I’m totally off the wall, but just saying that it’s possible to live without cell service.

Absolutely possible agreed

What spurred the switch for me was moving to a rural area with just terrible cell signal. I ended up buying a house phone for the first time in 15 years, and then finally dumping AT&T.

Ah I could see that then if service was terrible. Good call on AT&T

yeah the chinese hack is pretty boss. who knows if they actually did this or not. what's also cool are the tens of thousands of fucking undocumented instruction sets baked into modern intel chips that, are themselves, a fucking entirely undocumented fucking language. ok thanks.

Silent Circle's Black Phone (1 or 2), Boeing Black (used by DoD and FBI), Snowden Phone, or Get a Win10 phone custom fw it with Linux or run multi VM's.

Thanks, this seems like the best answer so far

You're welcome, if you have the knowledge and patience the last option is the best but a pain to setup initially, if you want something with high encryption and anti-tracking etc out the box then Black Phone 2 or Boeing Black are good options as both also encrypt all SD card and SIM Card data by default, I believe Boing uses 128 and Black Phone 2 uses 256 encryption, these are still circumnavigated by apps if you give them priorities ie- facebook app will still try and go through your pictures and contacts.

For the general public, the iPhone is the most secure. It’s even most secure than what used to be the Blackberries.
If you are into military stuffs, many countries have their own products. For example the Frenchs use cellphone Teorem from military equipment company Thales: https://www.thalesgroup.com/en/worldwide/security/telephony-and-multimedia-security .
The Germans use Secusmart, which modify existing smartphones: https://www.secusmart.com/en-us/home/?ref=1 .
I believe the Americans are modifying the hardware itself of the iPhones.
