One time i took a dump in a bathroom at CCA HQ in Nashville and didn't flush. True story.

Nice try, GEO and CCA stock traders.

Well I think you have to look at the charts, three month might look ominous for whatever reason. When you compare it to a three year of five year chart it looks like a technical rebound.

lol - rebounding from what? It's been steadily on an upward trend.

Rebounding from 2008 when the Dow fell to 6500. Which is why I suggested you look at a chart that is longer than three months. That's like looking at a thermometer go up from 8am to noon and saying that we are in a heat wave because it was 30 degrees and now it's 50!

Are you confirming or denying Global Warming with this blanket statement?

What I am really trying to get at is there is no evidence the world is older than 6000 years, and monkeys are not giving birth to humans.

Global warming denier. Thats 20 degrees in one day. You said it yourself.

proof of global warming.

Agreed, it's just rebounding from bottom it had in 2008, most solvent companies are in the exact same trend over the last year and a half.

Here's what I don't get.

The private prison industry has been plagued with debt problems since its inception.

Its gotten a few government contracts over time that have helped it here and there, but that's about it.

For the past decade CCA has pretty much relied on Lehman Brothers for its survival.

After Lehman fell, I was certain that this would cause a huge ripple in the private incarceration industry, but everything kept humming along smoothly.

I wonder who picked up the slack trying to cover their debt.

Prop 19 not going to pass? That sucks.

Time To Invest!!

If they something and we don't know, how will we ever know?

Money the Follow!

in Soviet Russia.

I've had to say this so often I finally just made a t-shirt.

Well we need to do some things to make that price go down as much as possible hu? Perhaps this could be profitable companies to short sell?

I think it's logic and speculation, and anything but conspiracy. A bunch of people who want to throw everyone who isn't white and rich into prison are about to take office and likely the control of the house. This is how the stock market works. If you want to get rich in the next 10 years, you just have to realize the jumps that are going to happen, before they happen. All the good traders will dump the majority of their shares a week after the election and move on to something else, further down the road now, before the run up.

Why are you all debating semantics here?

It's unconscionable and entirely wrong to have any part of your judicial system for profit regardless of which one of you thinks it's value is skyrocketing or not.

I also protest to something like this being put in the conspiracy section.

The last thing this issue needs is to be associated with a conspiracy frame of mind, so that the moral majority can stick their thumbs up their asses and debate.

And yes, they do know something you don't. Americans are inundated by corporate corruption in every level of democracy to the point that there is no chance that this one issue can possibly gain enough traction or awareness for support to stop it.

I think you've missed the point.

why are the stock prices rising?

That's what the OP wants to know, and it smells like a conspiracy.

Get out of here. This Reddit is for people with a conspiracy frame of mind, and why does that have negative connotations? Why are you here, if you believe that all conspiracy theories are bunk?

Why does the OP deserve this unwarranted attack?

Its not a conspiracy in the legal sense if you can legally lobby the government to throw more people into your prisons so case closed, no conspiracy. Its just legitimate business. Anticipating that there will be millions more criminals is perfectly reasonable at this point so that is just great foresight. Arriving at the conclusion that civil rights are outdated relics is perfectly natural when you really look at it so we should be celebrating these corporations for taking so much risk to do the great and necessary work that will be required to prevent us from disagreeing with their great foresight.
