An amazing tome of knowledge and a helluva starting place is Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly B Hall; Crossing the Rubicon by Ruppert is a great read as well.
Is this book really credible? I have not read it myself, but a close friend of mine read it nearly 2 years ago and recommended to me... but since then we have clashed quite a bit about NWO and related ideas..
I think its credible enough, the author predicted 911 - was shot & killed by police just a few weeks after. But you'll always find people in both camps...you have to decide what you believe.

I really liked Creature from Jekyll Island. It's large, but it changed how I thought about the world in a significant way.

I fins this always relevant if you want to know about whats really going on http://www.lawofone.info/
Dark Mission: The Secret History of NASA is also relevant with all the preparation for Disclosure going on
Other then that any other book is good, because with Law of One you can understand Why they are doing it and what is the bigger picture

Its channeled material from a sixth density entity(an alien/angel from the 6th dimension in your terms)
If you want too understand what aliens believe this is it
To me it answered the question of why the occult seeks power and what is there point

No idea. I haven't ever heard of a good book on the subject that was not fiction (a la DaVinci Code).
