so sick of this shit

The neocon blood for oil campaign spreads into Africa, meanwhile the corporate media reminds us to be afraid of terrorism. Terrorism kills 10s of people every year, the military industrial complex 10s of thousands.

I had a thought today coming home today as I looked around. We choose to listen to news, TV and radio that is filled with garbage, so it's no wonder a person gets 'fed up'. Look around you, there is so much beauty & wonderful loving people for you to be concerned about what others are doing in Africa. I don't condone it either, but a brand new world is literally within your grasp...just change your perception.

Please keep talking. I seriously need words like yours right now, and I bet I'm not the only one. Shit is so fucked up it gets hard to not see the beauty in the world.

Shit is only fucked up because that's your input. Clean your inputs, and the world becomes a garden of Eden. If you have kids, spend some time with them...take a walk in the park, go camping, hit up a museum, but most importantly, turn off the fucking TV. I don't watch it anymore and it really does help. Even reddit sometimes can be a bit daunting with horror stories. Count the number of positive stories on the front page vs negative...you will see it's always unbalanced.
You could think of all this as an exercise for you to strengthen your 'inner you'. Learn about your ego and begin to 'watch it' quietly and things should start to become clear. There is a perfect harmony inside you waiting to reveal itself...you just have to find it.

Yes indeed. It is just as harmful when kept on as "background noise"

When I do hear popular news channels on, I am amazed at how overt the 'programming' is. Whether it's someone who speaks an ounce of truth and is immediately cut off, or it's a 'divide and conquer' session splitting viewer opinions (creating conflict) to mind numbing celebrity babble. It's junk food for the mind and we are eating in excess.

I was thinking this recently too. There's a lot of fucked up shit going on out there. Be careful not to carry the burdens of the world on your shoulders.

If we only had to worry about terrorists, we'd be laughing. Our governments are far more dangerous.

Right on the button.

I just posted this at /r/news. On a more serious note, i have a sickening feeling that this incident was a 'palate crasher' for the next one. Which, i seriously dread, will be shot down, and over another neighboring country. Necessitating the deployment of someone to go and get them, and the snowball will form from there.

So what's the goal? Go into Africa for the minerals, or get a foothold into Egypt before the rest of the Middle East turns against u.s.?

Personally, I think it all centers around Peak Oil. Whether you believe the story about Peak Oil or not, you could interpret things as the big players maneuvering for that last chair when the music stops.
Just a theory.

Fairly certain the Chinese have already purchased a good portion of anything of worth. However, pre-positioning supplies and or logistical material is not a bad idea. Under the auspices of...whatever you want...A build up of such material, in the hopes of a U.N. resolution to invade Northern Africa proper perhaps? If one were thinking about the eastern front as Africa in an AOWWchina.
