Actually, I think patriotism is the correct term. Nationalism refers to a bond of tribe. Ie, a blood bond. Patriotism refers to a bond between people during time of crisis, usually bound with a patch of land.

The man may have existed, but his role in terrorism and 9-11 particularly were vastly overstated in the US media. KSM seems to have been the true brain behind 9-11. Al Qaeda, a loose affiliation of different terrorist groups, will go on, OBL will become a martyr with his death because he accomplished more than he ever dreamed of by dragging the US into two wars of attrition that are bankrupting us and costing us untold lives.

From a strategy perspective, we would have been better off to have killed or captured OBL and never mentioned it, letting him fade into history, there's just too much about this entire event that almost doesn't seem real, as if it's a blatant fabrication of lies to hide what really happened.

The true brain behind 9/11 was all the people who made money from the event. They all had to get together and say "lets make this happen!".
