China has recently issued a warning to the US over attacks in Pakistan. And China also gave Pakistan 50 fighter jets.

China has a vested interest in Iran. China gets a significant amount of its oil from Iran, and gets nearly 100% of its natural gas from Iran. The US has to take control of Iran in order to stop China becoming the dominant super power.

China also has at least one military base in Pakistan.

Russia also has a vested interest in Iran but its interest is nuclear power, as Russia builds all of the Iranian nuclear power plants.

And Russia has a large naval port in Libya.

The US will soon be faced with a massive financial problem, as the economic crisis of 2008 was never fixed but merely postponed for as long as possible. And the way in which it was delayed was with printing money. This will lead to hyper inflation.

The only way to avoid the impending financial doom is to utilize the one great strength the US has - its military. World War is what corrected the great depression and the greatest depression will be solved by the greatest war.

Yes, WW2 ended the great depression, but we have been fighting and spending more money in the past ten years than we did for all for all of WW2. Unfortunately, since the mid 80's we have been living in a 'war time economy' so this process is no longer effective at rejuvinating an economy.

also, printing money doesn't cause inflation - we think. there is great debate as to what causes inflation, and many different schools of thought. We printed money to help decrease the debt.

depends on your definition of 'world war'. according to wikipedia:

in the globalized world, it's possible for any country to be affected by any war. and currently the us are all over the place with allies on different continents. (the un and nato also consist of multiple countries on multiple continents)

so by that definition we are not far away from a world war (if not already there).

I think Israel is going to use nuclear weapons against another country within the next couple of decades. Israel will instigate the conflict, Israel will strike first, and of course, Israel will blame everything on the country they attack. Whether it will trigger a full world war, I don't know.

I have no idea but I would guess we will just continue to have continuous small wars around the globe.

Find Iran on the map. Look at the countries around it: they are all controlled by the US. The only country that remains not 100% compliant with Global Standards for Freedom and Democracy is Pakistan. Which is all over the news lately - precisely because of violent events happening there.

The only country in the region left for the US to buy or conquer is Pakistan. Then Iran is fully encircled, which, as a bonus, includes its disconnection from China.

If Hillary visits Islamabad, all may not be lost. But right now there does not seem to be a lot of diplomatic effort - neither with Iran, nor with Pakistan. Couple that with the map picture - and Iran looks like the next patient to be democratised.

Did not get to read all the comments yet but I have a feeling it will not be a lateral war as in country against country but a war from the bottom up, citizens against government (or vice versa). In that aspect it has already begun with the middle east and is spreading.
