The UFO thing has been a very successful campaign by the CIA/DoD because it gives a big slice of the population what they want. It tells them what they want to hear.
Until you understand the role that your and others' emotions play in the acceptance and dissemination of these stories, you're a puppet; you're not fit to pass judgement on them.
The sheer size of the universe alone is reason enough for me to believe that extra terrestial life is out there. If they have visited earth? Most likely, but the disinformation and secrecy we have been fed is just so overwhelming that its hard to see the truth
while i think it's possible that there is life on other planets, i don't think they ever visited us or that they will visit in the future. i don't think humans will discover intelligent life either.
i think the distances are simply too vast for a planet-bound civilization with finite resources.
hipothetically, if i would be a truly intelligent alien with the capability of interstellar travel i would keep the fuck away from a greedy and evil place like the wester civilization turned the earth into and also conceal my existence from humans at all costs.
Yes. we are now entering the era of genetic manipulation. Perhaps this has happened before. Could progeria, a genetic disorder could explain the reason the "Missing Link" has not been unearthed. Quite interesting that man's growth in intelligence is leading to genetic research just as we are destroying this planet. Maybe future generations will be breathing methane on some distant planet...
Every time I make my case for easily possible otherworldly life, some jesis freak tells me Im wrong, Im delusional, there is only the path of god, and all that bullshit.
In an interview entitled "Aliens Are My Brother", granted to L'Osservatore Romano, the Vatican newspaper, Father Gabriel Funes, director of the Vatican Observatory, stated: "In my opinion this possibility (of life on other planets) exists"; "intelligent beings, created by God may exist in outer space" and "some aliens could even be free from original sin" concluding "there could be (other beings) who remained in full friendship with their creator".
Nah it would be too big a deal. And something that huge, that would involve so many governments and people, could never be kept under wraps, especially how porous information networks have become.
This reminds me of the "top scientists" viewpoint on the subject which, summed to a single sentence might read:
Since we have no physical proof then we must conclude that we have never been visited by E.T.
Ahem....how much "physical proof" do you have of black holes...of the higgs particle....of multiple dimensions...etc?
If photographic evidence and eye witness testimony is enough to convict a person to die then why isn't the same enough to push scientists to take a serious look into the subject?

Probably not. But I don't dwell on it really.

Definitely - too much personal and documented experience to really Deny it at this point!

And the possibility of extra-dimensional civilizations.

I beg your pardon?

I think he might be saying all of those civilizations have documented ET encounters.

Of course. You'd have to be an ignorant christian to think otherwise...

I'm skeptical. What proof makes it so clear that you must be an ignorant christian to think otherwise?

Ignore the ignorant people. I have a good head on my shoulders and I'd like to know why I should believe.
