i'd love to believe that, but there is just to much shady shit going on in the world.... so maybe again it was just a distraction from something bigger.. keep us close minded and focus on one event rather than looking at the bigger picture.... but then again you never know
i feel like most people don't know about it.
we keep thinking that everyone knows this event might or might not happen. but i don't think as many as you think truly have a clue that space is even there....
so the " it was just a distraction from something bigger." i think is wrong, i think the budget and all the politics would be the distraction and this is the "event" they want to hid.
but i don't think anything will happen, anytime i hear about this stuff nothing happens.... but... i do have a B.O.B. in my car now lol.
OK, so now that it is obvious that there isn't going to be some big disaster from a comet, are the nutballs who thought a disaster was coming going to have the guts and honesty to look at themselves in the mirror and tell themselves that they were wrong? Are they going to have the guts to tell us they were wrong?
From what i've been reading (on various conspiracy forums, ATS and GLP at the top of the list) there could be potentially bigger problems headed our way than elenin.
Then again I seem to be very obsessed with TEOTWAWKI.
Edit: If you can't read the above, the message was:
its in the process of passing us by today . so pay attention to earthquake alerts and any mass power outages across the world.
The problem is, the people who fall for this shit know absolutely nothing about astronomy or physics, and they lack even vestiges of common sense ... if they ever had any to begin with. They are ripe to believe absolutely anything they are told, provided they are told it in the right manner.

when absolutely nothing happened, can we please have a few of the people who were duped by this shit start thinking a little bit harder about things?

A major swedish (3) telecom network went down today because of power outages, we also had a few short ones at work today.

Aaaand that's how this cycle goes.
Get hyped up over nonexistant things, and when those things don't come to pass, move on to the next one.

aka being vigilant :)
3 Pfmohr2 2011-09-27
You're confusing "vigilant" and "chicken little" again, Bob.
2 BobNoel 2011-09-27
It could be said that Chicken Little was vigilant about falling skies :)
3 Pfmohr2 2011-09-27
And then he got eaten, because he was so paranoid about the sky that his dumbass listened to a fox.
2 BobNoel 2011-09-27
Ohhhh...I forgot about that part.

well, there's this: http://www.reddit.com/tb/ksdh3
and this: http://www.reddit.com/tb/ks39l
so I guess we'll see over the next 24 hours or so, but so far nothing really came of it.

Even if, by pure chance, some major disaster were to happen in the world tomorrow, it would have nothing to do with the comet.
1 sunshine-x 2011-09-27
sure, might not. I'm curious to hear what NASA has to say on Thursday.
