I've been following the above posts... and watching them get removed. Pretty repulsive. I'd love to hear from the admins on this. I think the moderator situation needs to be reviewed. We might even need to set up an off-reddit forum to discuss this.

That's stupid it was 2 different mods with 2 different reasons for removing them.

There is no conspiracy here just different subreddits with different rules.

The confusion comes because there is little to no communication between mods.

One mod bans it for not being about politics, another mod bans it for being about politics...

There is usually some crossover, for instance I mod /r/technology /r/europe and /r/java.

Why do you think they got rid of r/reddit.com? Now they can say any topic is not relevant to the subreddit.

Post most anything you want to /r/economy. It has near 30k readers, I moderate it, and most everything relates to the economy and we do not censor stories.

I believe we also have a big problem with astroturfing here on reddit.

Certainly that's true. We don't own the site, we're just the users, but Reddit is a site that is built upon the activity of its users. If 'reddit' (that is, the admins and mods) decides to start implementing a kind of censorship on the site that limits speech related to the site itself, the users will leave. Conde Nast will be left with a devalued property (like Digg) and the users will go elsewhere. So, I think the determine if this is, in fact, what is happening, is a valid discussion for us users to undertake.

The first one being removed from /r/politics is a bit weird. However, at this point you're spamming, and I fully support any future submissions on this subject being removed.

If you have a problem, bring it up with the /r/politics mods. One link was removed, don't know why, but it happens. The rest were just you bitching about it being removed, and adding nothing to the respective subreddits. No conspiracy here.

Now you're just lying. The "scumbag reddit yo dawg" post has been reported, but not removed. For comparison, here's his original post in WTF that I removed (I'm the mod quoted in his comic saying "and now I'm banning it"). Interestingly, he didn't mention that post in his list above, even though he refers to it in his comic.

Doesn't void the problem if he has lied or not. I have had problems with the mods and your guys are thicker then thieves. I know this because the mods have told me so while arguing over posts. The real question is, what is reddit or the responsible mods going to do about the few bad apples that are making you guys look bad? Is there any recourse for a user who's links are being removed, when they meet the required rules of a subreddit? I post stuff to r/politics all the time and on occasion, I'm told political posts are not deemed appropriate for r/politics. I can give you examples and the mods I have dealt with, but it seems like this is getting out of hand. I know you guys have had a harder time recently do to reddit.com being removed, but at the same time, some mods need to be put in to check.

All I can do is follow the rules of the reddits where I mod. Trust me, most of the "Inner Circle" of moderators really don't like me.
