This started getting out of hand when /r/reddit got removed. Mods shouldn't be able to remove posts unless there is a moral or legal reason to. /r/reddit was the one safe haven it seemed.

Exactly. This subreddit is actually really good, its small enough and seems well run, its also very friendly. I also think because of its name, there is a stigma to it and this tends to keep a lot of the dicks away however, there are a lot of well balanced and thoughtful people here. Some of the things in other subreddits are just comical, places like /r/atheism that don't apply skeptical thinking to other topics except religion for example.
Its the old adage with some mods, the people that crave power are the ones that should never have it.
One thing that this shows, a lot of people would do exactly what the elites do if given the chance. I think extrapolating what the petty tyrants do gives a great deal of credence to many of the "conspiracies", it's part of some people's nature, unfortunately these people are all too common.
So thanks to the mods here for keeping this place friendly and free of censorship.

Reddit is not censoring anything.
The mods of various subreddits are.
The post should have been titled "Stop /r/politics and /r/WTF censorship".

And yet, I don't understand why they don't have the right to censor their own subreddits. This guy is acting like having your posts approved on reddit is in the bill of rights, like his freedom of speech is being infringed upon; it's not. Some people just don't want to allow him to use their subreddits as soap boxes.

Exactly. You have choices on Reddit. If one subreddit didn't allow your post, you can go to another, preferably one that isn't run by the same people as the first one, as MFLUDER made the mistake of doing.
And saying Reddit censored your freedom because one moderator deleted your post is like saying the state of Virginia hates gays because some random security guard kicked your gay friend out of the mall.

I'd take your analogy even further; it would be like saying Virginia hates antisemites because one security guard kicked a neo-nazi out of the mall. That's pretty much what all this shit is about, anyway.

Like this guy said:
Yeah, regardless of what you think of someone's mod policies, please do not instigate attacks into their personal and professional lives.
