So many good suggestions I upvoted quite a few.

Here's one that is more consistant with reddit and I think it fits in pretty well.

I've included two versions, one with a thought bubble and one with a speech bubble.

Personally, I like the thought bubble. Because that's all self-posts really are ... the OP's thoughts on some matter or other.

But, I suspect that many people view the self-post as a means of "speech", so the speech-bubble might appeal to them.

This is for the self submission icon, not icon user flair. We have talked about giving them out but I don't know what the comfort level is in general here with them. Some people like it, myself included oviously as it makes my posts stand out a bit. But so far most attempts at giving users icon flair have not been well received. I will bug the other mods again and ask how they feel about it. I want those who wish to have some kind of personal icon flair to be able to have it, but it requires a bit of work on my end with photoshop and a little CSS to get each icon flair into place. I see you already made an icon for your flair. We might need to shrink that a bit to fit the margins. The problem is that it can get pretty blurry when you make it that small so you would have to pick something that doesn't look awful when scaled down to about 22 pixels in height. Give it a shot and I'll test the water for you.

Ah okay, thanks for clarifying this. I think that if users really want a flair icon then they should work on it themselves like we have on Photoshop instead of giving you all the extra work. :P

I guess mine came out a bit blurrier than I intended it to be and I'll probably tweak it a bit more to make it look better. Btw, did you read the other post I sent you about kundalini?

Yeah that is exactly what I went through myself. I didn't have help from a guru though and yes it can make people go insane if it is done the wrong way.
