Why is the US so intent on helping Isreal all the time?

Foothold in the East?
From what I've seen on Reddit it just seems like Isreal is eating up some American resources, and using it just like the military is.

Except they are not. Influence is hard to measure, but if you examine the amount of money spent lobbying, pro-Israeli lobbies get blown out of the water.
Top spenders for 2011: http://www.opensecrets.org/lobby/top.php?showYear=2011&indexType=s
and AIPAC: http://www.opensecrets.org/lobby/clientsum.php?id=D000046963&year=2011

Isn't aipac Obama's backing? I thought he wanted to end wars not get involved in other ones.

I'm sorry. I dont understand this comment.

Which part? Isn't AIPAC like Stephen Colbert's "Superpac" except for Obama. Second comment was irrelevant sort of, I read somewhere on Reddit America is actively involved in Yemen. I'll try to find the OP.

AIPAC is "a lobbying group that advocates pro-Israel policies to the Congress and Executive Branch of the United States." This is not to say that this is a foreign group. AIPAC contends that it is a registered American lobbying group, funded by private donations, and maintains it receives "no financial assistance" from Israel or any other foreign group. If there is any foreign financing than would have to be done under the table, due to FARA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_Agents_Registration_Act

Did not know this prior.
I wish people remembered that there are power in numbers rather than "donation money". People can say what is right or wrong money doesn't have a clue - and sometimes the person who just wants to see more of it.

They own all the major banks.

Who the States?
3 digger_ex_pat 2012-04-18
No, the jews
2 JuzPwn 2012-04-18
I honestly do not know how to reply to that comment.

You're supposed to call him antisemitic. Check your note cards again.
-4 SilentNick3 2012-04-18
Ahh anti-semetism. A staple of the /r/conspiracy community.
4 [deleted] 2012-04-18
How is pointing out facts anti-semetic? By your standards, saying that a black person is black is racist.
1 [deleted] 2012-04-18
digger_ex_pat said, the jews own the banks.
Then, you said, it's anti-semetic to say that.
Neither of you actually made an argument.

Rich Jews own Congress and the White House. They own it. Amost no politician will cross them on anything, and if they do, that politician is gone. Rich Jews want American tax dollars given to Israel, so it gets given to Israel. It's not complicated.

I am reluctant to say it, but why do I feel like religion is somewhat involved here.
4 Rothschild_Agent 2012-04-18
Because it is a useful tool.

Why the heck would they isolate and hurt innocent civilians? These guys are absolute animals.

Because the Rothschilds PWN both the entirety of Israel and the entirety of the US financial, political, and media infrastructures (and the reason we can't shut them down is because their cousins, the Rockefellers, PWN the entirety of the energy sector).
3 Rothschild_Agent 2012-04-18
Yes, our assets are quite vast. We do not condone the way certain Rockefellers become directly involved in the American political process. Being in the spot light is bad for our goals.

Foothold in the middle east, you got it. The US created Israel and funded their miltary and economic development. The US and Israel fall under the same umbrella, NWO / Illuminati / Bilderberg whatever the true top of the pyramid is, I'm sure its the same power controling the US and Israel.
The Israeli government / military are not accountable to the US citizens, and can get away with much more than the US, such as the war crimes in Palestine.
The land is also very valuable in a propaganda sense due to it being central to several religions.
The lobbying is how the aid is able to continue without too much resistance from the public, it is not the reason why we are sending aid.
3 bucktheduck08 2012-04-18
The US did not create Israel. Israel formed after jewish resistance groups fought against the British, with their eventual withdrawal from the area in 1947. The country most responsible for funding Israeli development is France, due to their common stance against Pan-Arab nationalism. As in France was considered Israel's main ally from 1948-1966. When France withdrew from Algeria in 1966, the motivation for supporting a friendly state in the Middle-East waned. The United States did not even consider Israel a close ally until the Johnson administration. Up until then the US was more closely allied with Egypt and Jordan.
I don't understand why you would expect the Israeli government/military to be held accountable to US citizens.
2 eycjd 2012-04-18
The man attributed to envisioning a national home for Jews was Theodor Herzl, in the 1890s. The question is who enables it to happen. I said US you said France I think we can agree the it was a project of the western allied countries, present day NATO, previously known as the British empire.
That was part of my answer to who created Israel and why. They are an independent country, rather than another state in the USA or a province of France. It's like in civilization 5 you can take over a city and setup a puppet government, it creates less unhappinies than if you annex it, you get many of the benefits of annexation but less control. The point is that its still part of your empire either way.
1 bucktheduck08 2012-04-18
Would you consider India, Pakistan, and most African countries to be projects of western allied countries/the British empire? They all have similar occupation-> resistance-> withdrawal histories. What makes Israel different than these countries?

I can't believe you just put a epic game reference in what you said, well done sir.
I couldn't stomach supporting people whose goal is to make the life of others hell.
1 JuzPwn 2012-04-18
Man, like I can't fucking believe people let shit like this happen. For fuck sakes, money and greed is inhibiting Human evolution.
1 bucktheduck08 2012-04-18
The US helps a lot of countries. It's not just Israel.
