And my psychiatrist, and my coach, and my sleep aid, and my cure for when I lack inspiration, and my breakfast, waffles and ice cream, cute fuzzy animals and friends, so many friends!

Big difference between smoking it and consuming oil. Plus it allows for way more of it to be consumed.

As a huge cannabis advocate and fan of Tommy Chong, I hope this works...because if it doesn't, it'll be "proof cannabis doesn't help fight cancer"

Not really from personal experience. My auto-immune came on in a similar manor, I had taken a break for two years. Prior to that I would get 1/2-1oz every 8 months to year. Once I took that break, my health took a nose dive, it's not to say quitting caused it, but from everything I've read cannabinoids help keep your immune system running smoothly. So it's not unreasonable to assume someones health my have taken a nose dive with a low cannabinoid level. Add in the fact that his body and mine had become accustomed to getting those cannabinoid from another source instead of making them itself, etc...

Nothing to do with the fact that prostate cancer occurs later in life, usually after the age of 50?
Let's face it, once you get past 30 everything starts to break!

He thinks he got it through there through association. That is not scientific. Wish him luck anyway. It's his choice.

I always wanted to try space coke.

Maybe that's where he got the cancer.

Bold move, hope he keeps the internet updated.

I'm using it to help treat my auto-immune disease. I've used it when I was younger and knew it wasn't that harmful. I honestly didn't even start using it for my disease, it was just to help me sleep at night. But about 10 days later my phenomena went away, I started sleeping again that very night and have not missed one night of sleep. Since then I've noticed it helps in other ways, nothing really major just a crap ton of small ways and it all adds up. It's not going to completely cure you on it's own from what I've seen, but it is extremely helpful. And when you're fighting for your life, every extra useful tool you can get your hands on can make all the difference in the world.

I have just had surgery for and am recovering from prostate cancer.
I have also been a heavy cannabis user all my life.
Good luck, Tommy. Hope it works better for you than it did for me.

Tommy Chong announcing he's going to jail pretty soon
-1 frostek 2012-06-19
Given it's only prostate cancer, and he's 74 he'll likely die of old age before it killed him anyway.
Just as well, as it would be sad to read of his death if he'd tried treating an aggressive cancer this lightly.

It's Steve Jobs all over again, but with pot instead of crackpot.
Goodbye, idiot.

I think they replaced the wrong organ?

I think you aren't a MD?
1 [deleted] 2012-06-19
You are correct. But I've got a pretty decent grasp of how the human body works, and I'm slightly confused as to how a liver transplant helps pancreatic cancer.
3 [deleted] 2012-06-19
It's called metastasis.
0 iamafriscogiant 2012-06-19
Taking a bunch of meds tends to destroy the liver.

What an idiot.
