US moon landing
1 2012-07-17 by nucleardread
Well today at school my old science/history teacher told me how she thought that the us moon landing was a conspiracy. She said the flag stood upright the whole time not moving there was certain "hot spots" that was very bright but in other places was not as bright. And she also said that you should be able to see the stars so now with the points i am thinking that it might be a conspiracy.

The stars are not visable because to get the exposure right for the astronauts the sky will darken thus stars disappear. Although it is widely known that NASA did indeed fake a few photos for promo shots. Which they should never have done as it brings everything into disrepute. I believe we went to the moon.

I heard some bozo recorded over footage and they decided to replace the lost video. Apparently, this is why NASA shot footage on a sound stage.

They did tape over the original footage your quite correct, but they have copies of just not the master.

What happened on the moon
Several problems with the moon landings: not enough fuel to get there - not enough shielding to protect from solar/space radiation - unpressurized suits on the moon - lack of proper air conditioning in their suits - lack of shielding on space suits to protect against micrometeorites - NASA has lost all original telemetry data for all Apollo missions - lack of high-energy particles visible on the negatives of the film brought back from space - and on and on it goes...

It's definitely worth watching that documentary in it's entirety -- even thought it's pretty long. You'll never look at the world the same again, it's almost kind of humorous when you hear people talking about the moon landing with a full knowledge that it was completely faked. There is no reason NASA couldn't point hubble at the moon and get beautiful pics of the Apollo sites today, so why don't they? I think that 'what happened on the moon' documentary also has footage showing the Apollo 11 astronauts faking a shot of the earth from deep space on the way to the moon, however in the leaked footage you can see they are just in low earth orbit. There is just too much evidence to mention in a post... I guess that's why the documentary is 3.5 hours long.

We have these people teaching our children.

if you are in australia then thats fine but if not you have no idea what our education system is about its about question everything

Yes but she's not questioning, she's either deliberately misstating facts or mistakenly misstating facts. Get your art teacher to talk to her about how photography works.

Do they have any photos or videos taken on the moon from the subsequent moon trips?

You should add "kubrick's odyssey" to this list as well; I'm mobile or I would directly.

welcome to the club?

They didn't do it then without decent computers because they still can't do it now.

get her to a telescope where she can see for herself the remains of the moon landings.
also, ask how they managed to get the sets so exact when nobody had ever been there before. the detail in the landscape is matched by the latest satellite surveys. that would be very difficult to do without a reference.
both these pieces of proof should have her out of a job.

One possible explanation

Foreign governments and organizations were gifted pieces of moon rock from NASA. Many of these gifts turned out to be just petrified wood.

As a practicing research scientist, I need to point out that what you just said is total bullshit.
-1 [deleted] 2012-07-17
No, it's not bullshit.

That's a single mistake due to a political official's miscategorized collection. I've personally studied moon rocks by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and High Resolution Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy. They aren't wood.
-1 [deleted] 2012-07-17
How great for me that someone who just happened to study the rocks had time to find my post on Reddit and comment on it.
2 Jongo_Gurmola 2012-07-17
It might be a conspiracy or may be a coincidence. Your choice. I can tell you that lunar samples are not petrified wood and that your original statement "supplied by NASA" is total bullshit, seeing as the sample you referenced, donated to a museum and not a research institution from the private collection of a bureaucrat (not NASA), was not a NASA research sample.

I thought we had already established that the worldwide cabal of international jewry forced me to make that comment.
1 billsang1 2012-07-17
I'm not saying your wrong but we have plenty of moon rocks that we found here on earth we could of gave them. Why would we give them something they could prove to be wrong pretty easy?
-1 [deleted] 2012-07-17
Adding insult to injury.

what do you mean?
