According to some people, (and it's fairly well sourced) it would do well to cripple our economy. Lots of boat, rail, and truck freight goes through STL. Plus, it's right in the middle of the US Heartland. It would take out far more infrastructure and cause more casualties than if it happened on either coast, as half the bomb wouldn't be wasted on water. Plus, depending on the size, some fallout could affect Canada as well, bringing them in on our side from the start.

Outside of those things, the Midwest is the central hub of food supply in America. Hitting St Louis and causing fallout in the surrounding areas would be a huge hit to the stability of the nation.

I was referring to 9/11 in tristans comment. It's up to everyone to come to their own conclusions. I dont believe a nuke will be going off at all, that is the speculation. But I would also argue that 9/11 has been researched enough to be considered conspiracy fact, personally at least. It's not like our government would never do something like this...
