I posted this story to about google altering their algorithm /r/technology
redditor drkgodess commented
What happened to the huge thread about this on the main page? I guess a mod took it down for some reason? Maybe google doesn't like the negative feedback.
I looked through their comments and found the submission in question
Nowhere to be found on /r/technology/
Edit
(un)Surprisingly my submission is removed now.
Edit2
~~Just resubmitted with alteration to url (even though other submission is deleted from /r/technology and is only viewable by direct link, you cannot submit the link.) ~~
EDIT3 Messaged mod about my submission,, it appears I may have made a mistake there. Took the opportunity to ask about the +2000 submission. crickets

Very strange. I noticed that too and came to the new section of /r/conspiracy specifically to see if anyone else noticed. I'd love to find out what happened to the story.

I messaged the submitter to see if they know why it was deleted.

If I was a betting man I'd say you ran afoul of the "Never Use the word "BREAKING" in your title. (*)" rule in the /r/technology sidebar by starting your submission with "Big news:", which is essentially the same thing.
I like the Google shill angle better though.

It wasn't my submission , I just noticed it because someone commented in my thread. But I see what you mean. davidreiss666 or another mod is yet to say why they deleted that submission yet though.

Yep. Reddit at its core is completely fucked, bought out, sold out, and propagandized. People champion this place like its thwe holy grail of the internet and they cant get enough. This place has easily a few million people completely misled off the path.

It's my impression that the code that operates reddit is free software. Is this so? and if so, then why not just open a new web site with it?

I cross post to r/conspiracy and to http://www.reddit.com/r/AnythingGoesNews/ more and more because of censorship problems elsewhere.
I have also noticed the subscribers here have been going up, probably because of the uncensored content. Post here!

Thank you. I wish I had noticed this.

You can tell if a post is removed from a subreddit by searching for its title. Also you should make a post about this on r/politicalmoderation. It's more for documenting the moderation on the news/political subreddits but accepts any submission. They would be interested in this especially because of the overlap of mods on r/technology and other political subreddits.

It's a chink in Google's armour, a golden opportunity to the right mind/s. That's how I see it.
